I graduated from Imo State University. before your name is passed to NYSC, it means u have been cleared and your statement of result is ready. I suggest you contact exams and records for your statement of result. Then you can take it from there...

Please help!! Imo state university has refused to graduate me. I got my admission on merit and was given admission letter by JAMB, I never had exam malpractice or any cult case. My results is ok and presently with my HOD.

It all started after graduating in 2011 and the following year being 2012 my name came out for service and during my clearance I was told that I had the same registration no. With someone in another dept. And was asked to apply for another registration no. Which I did but due to the laxity of my dept. I was unable to go for service that period, and ever since my HOD has been promising sending my name for service for more than four 4 years he kept on giving one excuse or the other. I hv done everytin possible to see if I can get even if it is my certificate but it seems the HOD has sold my result, at a point he told me to go and write another jamb for no reason. I need you help my fellow nairalander.

Most importantly, get on your knees and call on the author of life. Write to all the principal officers and also get a good lawyer to take it up from there.

The HOD is utterly lazy. He's absolutely not telling you something. I advise you to meet a lawyer and discuss this with him. You will most likely have to write a formal letter to the Senate and Copy the VC, Registrar and Dept informing them of your predicament.

If you're not replied within a given period of time, sue the school for damages and neglect.

I need to ask you a question.
Did your school issue you with your Statement of Result?
If yes, it means Senate has approved your result and the base data of you the student, i.e your departmental registration details and matriculation number.

In addition, is your mat. no. same with the other student in question.
When adviced to apply for another registration no. did you confirm from your department that the one you had, had error?
Like someone mentioned, I believe someone has played a fast one on you. You should have investigated properly to know between you and that other student who got the reg. no. first. If it's you then yours should stand.
I hope you have records to proove your case? Also petition your HODs superior. You can also parley someone in the other student dept. and get info of the reg. no. that was given to that student during admission. You need to be smart.

Among the best students we graduated in my department in recent time one is a Yoruba boy and one is an Edo boy. We unanimously recommended for the appointment of the Edo boy as a graduate assistant and as I write this, the young man is about traveling to New Zealand for his PhD after finishing his masters degree under me within 18 months. The Yoruba boy is presently studying for his masters degree, one of us was even the one that purchased the masters form for him. We are still pushing to see if he can be appointed whenever there is opportunity. Based on the above-stated facts, can you still say that Ibos do not like the progress of other tribes.

This is impressive, is it in same Imsu ? what department did you guys do this ?
