New President of The Gambia, Adama Barrow, has reintroduced Friday as working days scrapping the four-day week introduced by his predecessor Yahya Jammeh.

In a statement Adama Barrow said that public sector employees would now have to work a half-day on Fridays too.

Thats y they are poor, how can u make Fridays holiday? If buhari is allowed he would make Sundays a work day and Friday would be holidays... But thank God for Jesus, that one no go fit happen again

Chief, in the UAE, Fridays are holidays while Sundays are the work days.

In jammeh's case, Gambians work 4 days and are off 3 days.

my bro I get, but Gambia no make dia SUNDAY a work day, hence lower productivity and income (underutilised), it is allowed in UAE because it is a predominantly Muslim state and they made their Sundays working days (unlike gambia), if given the chance, buhari would do same thing UAE is doing even as Nigeria is not predominantly Muslim. U going for the protest?
