The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has advocated for N50,000 as monthly allowance for corps members.

Fayose, who doubles as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governors’ Forum called on the Federal Government to review the current Corps members allowance from N19,800 to N50,000.

The governor who took to his Twitter handle @GovAyoFayose, on Saturday wrote: “Let us collectively tell the FG that N19k monthly allowance is no longer enough for Corp members. Let this APC read more...

This constituted authority needs to show evidence of good governance and lead by example. I thought he should have increased his workers' pay, or probably buy them each, his type of convertible car before asking the Federal govt to increase allawee stipends.

He would still wait on Feds monthly allocation to pay and lavish ooo. Hypocrite, he is!

Why should they? Does he think government prints money. Who's taxes are the going to increase to pay for it? Maybe he wants them to borrow so he can complain about deficits next.

Scrap the stvpid NYSC program and give all graduates the bulk total package to go and start business or something.

there was no inflation then. Then 19800 could be two bags of rice with some change but now it can't buy a bag of rice.

Then fuel was #87 not #150, there was no inflation.

Mind you, it was Jonathan that increased the allowance from #9500 to 19800.
