Nigeria is surely very bad at the moment but we failed to cry and hold past leaders accountable when we were supposed to.

A man who worked for 30 years earning decent salaries but failed to save for the rainy days will have himself to blame if and when his income is halved. Our problem was caused by the past administration's failure to save while looting what they met and earned.

PMB is unfortunate to be president at this time BUT we Nigerians are lucky to have a shrewd man as him and Osinbajo at this moment.

If the IB had not been booted out, one can only wonder what could have become our story. His was an administration that had to borrow to pay federal workers even when crude was $80 per barrel. Also, about 30 states were unable to pay their workers for up to 8 months as at the time PMB came in! Where were the town criers of today? Where was 2 Face, Charlie Boy, and other beneficiaries of corruption of that time?

I will ignore senseless response to my post.
Stop preaching rubbish, you APC zombie..the real reason why PDP was voted out of power was because of their inefficiencies and gross mismanagement of the country..APC was voted in because you guys said you can fix Nigeria..why still blaming PDP that have gone? were you guys voted in to just blame PDP till your tenure is over? BLAME GAME ALL THE TIME? admit it that APC is clueless as to how to govern Nigeria so they resort to the thing they like doing most which is the blame game so as to cover their inefficiencies...you and your party should cover your head in shame..you are just like the inefficient PDP that was voted out...you are a 2faceted party..while propaganda is your tool in which being used in deceiving Nigerians..but you know what? we are wiser now.

Like old man Buhari is ignorant or senseless of the SGF who took N350 million to cut grass.
The ignorant and senseless Buhari who keeps Buratai despite his corruption of two multi million dollar mansions in Dubai?
Unlike Jonathan who sacked Stella Oduah and Barth Nnaji on mere allegations of corruption.

There are several other alternatives which the government chooses to ignore to stimulate the economy and manage fiscal policy. What we experience is purely the result of the Buhari philosophy whuch the government has doggedly followed despite overwhelming warnings by both local and foreign experts and institutions. What annoys people even further is that the government which earns a fraction of what is used to earn is determined to spend in exactly the same manner without caution. The budgets today and those of yesteryears are exactly alike, some items of questionable expenditure are even worse.
Look, there is no way you can be doing the samething and expect different results. That is why it is not trusted with more debts. Simple. People fund ideas expecially revolutionary ones. There are none coming from government because it has expended all its energy and intellect in offensive political battles all these years and has nothing left to give.

Shagari was in office from 1979 to 1983. They say his government looted the national treasury. Things were not so good but Nigeria did not go into an economic recession. Then Buhari came as military Head of State and was in office from 1983 to 1985. They say he did not loot. But during his time in office, Nigeria fell into a deep economic recession. Then came Babangida. They say he looted Nigeria from 1985 to 1993. Yet there was no economic recession. After Babangida came Shonekan and Abacha from 1993 to 1998. Abacha was also said to have looted the treasury. In fact, his loot stashed abroad is still being recovered till today. Yet there was still no economic recession. From 1998 to 2015, we have had Abdulsalami, Obasanjo, Yar'Adua and Jonathan. All administrations were accused of looting the treasury. Still there was no recession. Now Buhari is back and we are once again in a recession and you say "LOOTING" of the past government is the cause? Are we okay Do u need a prophet to tell u that this Buhari is a proven failure?

Intellectual face of Tuface against protest

By Tayo Ogunbiyi

Before now, pop songster, Innocent Idibia, widely known as Tuface, cuts the picture of an apolitical person whose chief concern is his music, fame and wealth. This writer has followed Tuface’s musical career since he was with the defunct Plantation Boyz.

Tuface was actually the true face of the now rested Plantation Boyz (Blackface and Face as other members of the group) which made wave few years back in the local music scene. As the three artistes that made up the defunct group went on solo run, it is Tuface that turned out to be an instant hit of the lot.

Like the maverick late Afro beat, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, since he released the block buster single, African Queen, Tuface has continued to churn out one monster hit after the other. Till date, he remains perhaps the most decorated Nigerian artiste of all time, consistently winning laurels both at home and abroad.

SalamRushdie:
Let me give you four poorly thought out decisions that destroyed this govt ..

1 : Increasing Nepa tariff and fuel price at the same time ,an action which immediately put pressure on the income of most Nigerians, a visionary President would have increased fuel prices and let Nepa Tariffs rest till the economy improves .

2: Implementing TSA at once instead of the staggered manner advised by those who brought about the idea ;;; By implementing it at once Buhari destabilized the banking sector which was meant to provide support to small and medium business at these times when oil prices had dropped

3: The MTN ridiculous fine : was another poorly thought out decisions,The Buhari govt fined MTN a ridiculous 5 billion dollars ,an action which immediately turned of FDI injection into Nigeria and triggered massive corporate capital flight out of Nigeria with some people putting the estimates at over 13 billion dollars :: the painful part is that Buhari didn't wnd up collecting the 5 billion dollars from MTN ..very poor decisions I must say

4: Declaring Tompolo wanted was another poor decision , a visionary leader would have waited till he had maximized his oil output in a period of low oil prices before trying to prosecute Tompolo , that action caused tension in the oil regions with Tompolo people bombing pipelines and furthering reducing output despite low oil prices , the action also slowed down foriegners capital investments from oil major who slowed down on any new capital expense till the tension had eased ..

Oga I can continue till ten but I am at work ..
kudos to the points, buharis supporters thinks corruption was d major cause of the economic recession, forgetting ill thought out economic policies runs a country down. Theres corruption in every country in the world

.During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one.The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely Unclad. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The Unclad chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & helpless creature. The poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet.Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you"."They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ?Now! The only thing growing under Buhari is the corruption of his cabal exemplified by the N350 million grass cutting contract as well as his London treatment after banning government officials from doing the same and spending more on the Aso Rock clinic than all Teaching hospitals combined.
Buhari is a very corrupt hypocrite and liar.

U CANNOT PUT A CROWN ON A CLOWN AND EXPECT A KING.... History Being Repeated? . In 1983: . $1 = N 1 £1 = N2 Volkswagen Beetle = N1,400 Foods were in abundance Kids were in school Businesses were booming with vibrant economy and people were gainfully employed. No illegal arrest or media trial. Rule of law was maintained. . On 31 December, 1983, he and his criminal gang struck with the excuse of tackling widespread corruption and within few months, . $1 = N15 £1 = N40 Volkswagen Beetle = N8, 000 Kids dropped out of school because their parents couldn't afford their school fees anymore. Businesses closed down. Foods were rationed as people queued up for essential commodities. Many Nigerians lost their jobs because the economy collapsed. Innocent Nigerians were arrested for free speech and human rights violated with impunity. The Constitution was suspended. . He blamed Alh. Shagari's govt for this mess. He blamed corruption, yet he jailed Dr. Alex Ekwueme (the Vice President) but left Shagari (the president) in his palace. . But when another gang threw him out, and within few months, Nigerians started smiling again. Our kids returned to school, food was in abundance again, Nigerians got their jobs back and the economy was revived etc. . In 2015: . $1 = N175-190 £1 = N289-320 Cars were affordable with local manufacturers smiling to the bank. Food was in abundance (at least a bag of rice was N7, 000) Kids were in school Businesses were booming with vibrant economy and people were gainfully employed. No illegal arrest or media trial. Protesters (esp BBOG) were not killed or teargassed. . On 29 May, 2015 when he was 'jega-ed' into power: . $1 = N315-510 £1 = N550-610 Local car manufactures shut down their plants due to harsh economic condition. Famine was unleashed on Nigerians and a bag of rice rose to N22, 000/27, 000 while minimum wage remains N18, 000. Kids dropped out of school. Businesses closed down, millions lost their jobs and inflation is in double digits. Illegal arrest, disregard of Rule of Law and media trial is the order of the day. Peaceful Protesters (esp IPOB) are being killed like chicken without provocation. . Just like in 1985, he's blaming corruption and his predecessor for the same mess he created within few months of assumption of office. "YOU CANNOT PUT A CROWN ON A CLOWN AND EXPECT A KING." #copied
