I don't believe being dull is a curse if one is willing to learn and that's why respected calibre of myself is always available to drastically reduce and eliminate your kind. OGA GO AND DIE! NgeneUkwenu: Buhari wasn't president when factories in Ikeja began browning off and selling their facilities to churches.
He wan't here when 80% of SME died away and the rest went on life support.
Buhari wasn't president when landlords were being watched charging rent in US dollars and stores were selling in hard currency.
Buhari wasn't president when wheat farming collapsed and Cote d'Ivore overtook us in Cocoa production.
Buhari didn't destroy Iwopin paper mill or ALSCON in Ikot-Abasi, a single factory that at a point brought in 30% equivalent of what we got from oil.
Buhari didn't take us from net exporter of oil palm products to lazy importers of the same.
Buhari didn't make us importers of petrol and diesel nor is he responsible for killing of the textile industry.
He didn't destroy our forest resources or ran down power stations like Egbin until only three out of twelve turbines work.
People shout policy but there is no policy that can transform a 'post-war' economic environment with the snap of the finger and government should just tell the people that this thing is what it is.
Government also has to water down expectations on oil prices ever rising above 55 dollars because it is just not possible in the age of Shale and renewables.
This nation is cornered and it has no choice than to reform it's lifestyles and go back to work.
It has to reform it's justice system such that it can jail it's thieves and reward those who do things right. We are refusing to allow hardship nudge us in the right direction but prefer to explain our woes as a personal failure of Buhari to draft policy from sheer air.
They were trampling people to death on job queues before he came on board.
Where are your farms to save you from food importation or your refineries to save you from seeking dollars to import fuel?
Where are your schools to educate your children without sending them to foreign universities when you can afford it?
He isn't two years in control yet and I believe he deserves a little more understanding given the gradients of the point where he took over.
Buhari met all these things that way, plus a devastating war that devoured the nation from a region and we have the choice of working with him to restore and rebuild the country or allow ourselves to get us into false sentiments, take advantage of us to return us to the years of the locust. |

You've listed all he is not responsible for. Now tell me what he has actually achieved? He stopped trampling of people at jobs? Lol. Saying we should be patient is like telling a man from benin who entered a bus to lagos instead of onitsha to be patient. Patience will only waste his time and resources. The best thing is to get out now and go back to where he missed it. You seem not to understand that GEJ was voted out because Nigerians were just tired of the whole thing. Only for Buhari to commence selective corruption fighting and an increased sense of insecurity nationwide. Is this the change he promised? How is this change better than what GEJ offered? 4 Likes |

In all these we didn't see where he said fuel would become 145Naira, or our electricity generation would drop drastically, or (the popular one) how badly the naira in our accounts would depreciate in value! And you're talking about going back! When has the country's economy and citizen wellbeing been so bad? 2 Likes |

Buhari met all these things that way, plus a devastating war that devoured the nation from a region and we have the choice of working with him to restore and rebuild the country or allow ourselves to get us into false sentiments, take advantage of us to return us to the years of the locust. Buhari knew all these things before he campaigned 4 times to become president. He was also part of the military elite that took Nigeria down this route so how are you able to absolve him of any responsibility? This is the same man who claimed that Abacha was not corrupt. The same man who claimed to attack Boko Haram, via emergency measures, would amount to an attack on the north. This is a man who kept making noise about his integrity yet consistently lied (and still lies) to the public about his health and his assets. Talks about integrity and his desire to 'stamp out corruption' whilst stood between Tinubu and Amaechi with the ghost of Abacha in the background. Nigeria can and will get better, it has done in the past 17 years despite the noise and lies made by people calling themselves 'APC', anyone claiming that Nigeria of 1998 was better than Nigeria in 2014 is a liar. And I choose 2014 instead of 2017 because that was the last time that Nigeria was managed with any sense of sanity. People make mistakes and progress is a process but Buhari is not, nor was he ever, likely to take Nigeria forward. He came to power because of the backlash as a result of GEJ being from the Niger Delta in the same way that Trump is now president of America because of Obama's ethnic background. Bigots and ignoramuses in two countries have colluded to destroy their own environments, both countries will suffer as a result. |
