A simple question requiring a simple answer. Is naming your offspring "Jesus" a sin? Yes or No. (Biblical backing will be highly appreciated)

What's the difference in meaning between Jesus, Joshua and Saviour?

Several people in Mexico and other countries bear Jesus as their first names. Would you say they are all born by sinners?

It's not a sin. Jesus is a prophet like Adam, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Jacob etc. People name their children all these names. Jesus is not God!

Name your child with the best and imitate their actions.

NO, it is not a sin to name your Child Jesus. The name Jesus means Yahweh saves and it's the same with Joshua.

If you so wish to name your Child Jesus, please go ahead.

Our saviour's real name is Yahshua which means YAHWEH's salvation. He wasn't the only one to have answered that name in the bible. The person we commonly know as Joshua in the bible, who conquered Jericho, was actually called Yahshua. It was transliteration that changed Yahshua to Joshua in English. So @OP, It is not a sin a to name one's child Yahshua, Joshua or Jesus.

Abraham was not a prophet but a friend of God. Yahshua is more than a prophet. As for mohammad, he was a terrorist, rapist, lair, pedophile, robber, sex addict and a plagiarist of the bible.

The issue is not the Jewish spelling/pronunciation of the name but usage.

From Adam to the last one, they are all servants of God. Jesus included. Don't differentiate them. They are all prophets of God.
