Did you care to open the link you shared or your eyes were beclouded by hate that you failed to comprehend?

Anyway, I opened the links one after the other and found the following:

1. '.http://www.reuters.com/article/us-religion-easter-philppines-idUSKCN0WQ28V '......Part of the link read 'Although the Catholic Church does not approve of self-flagellation, many faithful in the predominately Catholic Philippines perform the punishment in the run-up to Easter on March 27'

2. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/05/christians-in-philippines_n_1405551.html......Part of the link also boldly stated this 'Many Filipino devotees perform religious penance during the week leading up to Easter Sunday as a form of worship and supplication, a practice discouraged by Catholic bishops, but widely believed by devotees to cleanse sins, cure illness and even grant wishes'

So my question to you is, if the catholic church preaches against a practice and someone/group decides to do otherwise because they think they know better than the church, will you say that it is the church's teachinghuh
Stop spreading falsehood against the catholic church please. If you don't know something, keep quite. Don't embarrass yourself in the public.
