Anytime i try installing apps on my tecno w3,it installs in phone memory and my phone memory is almost filled up.

I checked my phone settings,there is no option to install apps on sd card.

Hello Erenax, you can try to set the SD card as default memory in following way.: Settings-storage and memory-Default write disk, and choose SD card as default memory. If the problem persists, you can try to take your phone to our Carlcare Service Center. Thank you!

I have the same problem as well on w2, cant save songs and videos on SD even after changed the defaul storage to SD at setting. I need hint as well.

This is why I dislike the marshmallow os. Lollipop was better except that the system consumes too much ram. I still believe kitkat is the best os android has ever brought.
Now to the solution, I was told by a friend who has much advanced knowledge of android that if your phone is rooted, you can use xposed installer to correct this problem by changing your default storage to memory card.

hello guys,I have actually solved the marshmallow storage problem in my tecno w3.....stay glued thread am making a detailed guide on how to solve it.

Why the hell will google release an os without the ability to copy files to SD..?
Marshmallow and Nougat are the best so far.
If you want to move apps to SD, simply format your SD card as internal. I will advice you to back up ur SD card files to a pc or any means at all you prefer.
I'll also advice you to purchase an SD card not less than 32GB.
Procedures:
Go to your phone settings, then select "FORMAT SD CARD AS INTERNAL storage"
This will erase your SD card and also encrypt your SD card such that your SD card will not work on any other device unless you decrypt it using your phone. With this, you can now copy any app to sd card and also reverse it to internal storage. Its is better than the lower android versions.

I formatted it as internal and everything is working better, no downside. Why would google launch a function that is useless..?
And who told you that it will reduce your Android's performance, anywhere am using an originalSD card 32GB size, its only the inferior Sd card that will reduce your Android's performance interms of reading and executing commands faster.
Thats a feature from google to solve the low internal memory issue and its the best. Its not a third party feature meaning that there is no downside.

you are probably using a class10 sd card that why your performance is still good....but some people may even use a class 5 sd card to do it....

the bedt way i sovled ny problem was to partition my sd card and use APPS2SD apk to link it to the second partition

. mine isnt showing as internal storage.. it's showing format as portable storage . and is it wise if i do it with my 8gb memory card?
