Only a trillion when we have population of 250 million by 2030. We could be much better. I say that because our primary resouces sector could do those kind of numbers and industrilization would easily put us at 1 trillion.

It was predicted in 1980 by JP Morgan that Nigeria will be one of the 5 emerging developing economies by 2000.

Of all the 5 countries, which includes Singapore, Brazil, etc Nigeria is the only country within that group that is still grossly underdeveloped.

We are a peculiar country where every known economic model is defied.

Is this prospect or speculation based on faith or on the way we are currently running the country's system? With the looting, misuse and mismanagement and all sorts?

Whichever way, faith or prospect without coherent action is a waste of time, thinking and energy!

I believe cause by then, many private refineries, fertiliser companies motor making companies, etc would be located in Nigeria and by so doing our importation would decrease and exportation would increase, so we would surely be there.

I don't believe these forecasts. As it is said, no one knows tomorrow. Did they put into consideration factors like natural disaster that is unpredictable.
Again, the kind of people that occupy Nigeria as citizens are a specie that even baffles the devil. A people that can change formulas, sabotage everything and prefer religious and ethnic gains to national development.

Currently, so many countries are ranked above Nigeria, but by 2030, it is expected that Nigeria "will" rank above them. So, YES, it is improvement, except that Egypt is expected to improve faster than Nigeria.

But I think apc government has many good ministers, but the attitude of the government to governance is appalling and terrible.

New government is needed.
The way out is to vote out the senseless apc government.

the idea isn't to vote out a party.... The idea is to vote out incompetency.. A party can be competent but have an incompetent candidate, also a party can be incompentent but have a competent candidate...

That's where we mistake the whole thing...
