1) Without nerds and geeks, most of the medium will not even exist. Tv's , radios, satellites, cameras what have you were build by the ignenious individuals. It is the "nerds" that drive humanity, that power society. A show about their lives will be much more insightful than a rag-tag show where everything is allowed

2) There are shows in saner climates about science, technology. Documentaries, sitcoms, interviews, name them. Big Bang Theory, for example, is one. If you think "science" is boring, then I really pity both you and this country

3) The organizers are indeed giving away "free" money. If memory serves, I don't think any of the participants paid a dime.

4) There is a line between entertainment and mere soft porn. A very distinct line. Showing your bosoms in glare of millions of viewers worldwide is heinous stupidity

5) Given the current socio-economic realities, shouldn't a show be at least useful. What is the use of this show?

If only there could be an educating version of such. If only they could house intelligent scholars like this and make them compete for similar prizes. But, no! Our people do not encourage sanity. The best in Mathematics competitions walk home with ridiculous stipends. Laughable prizes while these morons in BBN earn millions for coming to suck breasts on International TVs.
