the kind of ignorance displayed on Nairaland makes me wonder he many well thinking Nigerians are out there. we have more than enough land and to spare, to grow rice, but because of importation...we rather importation than work. the only solution to this is to put an end to importation, and the govt after staying idle on it banned it from being importted by sea. and now realising that this guys are now using land, they have decided to strenghten the land borders. and instead of applauding the non giving up move, to ensure food sustainability....some Idiots are here talking baldadash... Truelly there are lots of stuffs wrong with the African mind...too lazy to even think. |

Still testing out policies in a directionless manner after 19months or thereabouts of being in government. When our local production falls short of consumption, commonsense demands that while we're trying to raise our local production we still have to pave way for some foreign items until we're able to meet local demand but outright prohibition of some essential commodities of which we need daily has led to rise in their prices.I won't be surprised if there are still more policy reversal because the toga of the arrogance of the current administration is robbing it of realistic and workable ideas and caused it to rudder the ship of goverance on many wrong paths. |

Lordsocrates:our people just love the easy way out. Although the set up in most Govt agencies in Nigeria favour importation more than than exports. Imagine customs complaining of low revenue because of a policy that is suppose to improve local production. Welcome to Nigeria! |
