Dear nairalanders,am still a serving corp member with little industrial experience,please feel free to criticize and help me check,what do I need to add or remove..... thanks

Abeg ,,, don't just view,,help make corrections and the likes

These are my observations.

1. Mission:

It's either called Career Objective or Professional Summary. What you wrote as your mission only tells a reader about your personality and not portray your experience and how it relates to a specific job.

2. Core Competencies:

The ones you listed are not enough and mind you there are others who have such. From your Employment History, there are quite a handful of skills that can give you an edge.

3. Employment History:

There is no need to write "Responsibilities" as a sub-heading just go ahead and list them. After that, you can write "Achievement(s)" as a sub-heading because it's very important. Reasons are from position, one can deduce your responsibilities but cannot guess what you achieved. If you're applying for a job related to your degree, no need including that Teaching job at Mind Builders School. Write just your first job and the NYSC own.

4. Membership and Certification:

Write only your Graduate Membership at NSE, because in your employment history you have talked about NYSC. If I may ask don't you certifications for the AUTO CAD and Microsoft Office you claim to be competent in?

5. Referees:

If you are not going to give their details, do not write "Available on request".

Note: Google for CVs relating to the positions you are applying for. Then, take cue from them.

P.S: I am not a CV guru. Still a learner.

Actually,,,,I learnt Microsoft words on my own,a friend taught me AUTOCAD,so I didn't have certification on that,on membership and certificate,NSE don't issue certificate for graduate member,so NYSC certificate is the only certification I will have.
