Bros, as we know for a fact.... Getting an interview slot with high profile individuals is not a matter of just stumbling by & asking to see them. .... Did the guardian newpaper guy book an interview with the man prior to just knocking on the gate?
From the little I could infer from the report, he made efforts geared towards securing an appointment. All his enquiries met a brick wall. I'm sure that is why he took matters in his own hands to storm the place. He stated his mission, I believe he was expecting to book an appointment and be scheduled for a more convenient day. But al he got was 'no he's not here', 'no, you can't see him'.

In saner climes, that premises would be flooded by journalist and a host if TV presenters, taking snapshots of everyone going in and out. If that should be the case, what would have been their reaction AR the abuja house?

Freedom of information does not trample on rights to privacy.

If u need information, u can go to the people in charge of the information and not compulsorily the President.
It is the actions of those 'presidential hijackers' that is breeding speculations here amongst us. What is wrong in scheduling a meeting with the reporter at a more convinent time to speak with the president? They can even invite 2 or 3 more notable journalist to come alongside. This will quell all speculations for now.

I am sure the president isn't even aware of those demanding to see him. Let them keep hijacking it until speculations become rife and starts breeding contempt.

You do realise this is a "gravely" sick person we are talking about? & pray tell, is there anything in the rules book that this says this particular reporter must get an interview slot ..... . Is there no free will? People can choose not to want to speak with the press at a particular period, This man already did the needful... PYO is acting in his stead... Case closed..

In saner climes, head of governments don't have reporters knocking on their gates to see them,, there are protocols to these things & security wise, do you think it's ok? Would Theresa May, Trump, Mdm Merkel have people knocking on their doors & the next thing is to be ushered inside..

As for reporters camping outside the premises, that is no problem, they don't insist on seeing the person holed up inside, which knocks down your argument...

Some of una sef are jus downright hypocrites and dumb. A REPORTER coming to ask for an interview, what exactly is wrong with that? That's their job for heaven's sake and it's left for Abuja house officials to either turn him down or not. D way some of us reason is jus embarrassing atimes. U think it's Nigeria here where most of our reporters are jus lazy and feed on information which is spoon fed dem whether true or false? If d journalists really had time for the whole charade U think dey wouldn't have actually found a way to either get some photos apart from what some ppl kip recycling or find a way to blow d whole thing open? Kip fooling and consoling urselves bunch of hypocrites.
Oh @Sarrki, I thought u were all over nairaland a few days ago claiming d President would b back by Sunday which happened to b yesterday, What happened again dis tym? Or did ur paymasters get the timezone all wrong?

So a reporter asking for an interview with the President is not the right source for the information he requires? Was d reporter stalking or trying to break into the Compound? U ppl are really unbelievable

There is no news in this, this is sensationalism for the sheer hell of it... even your local govt chairman is not likely to grant you the time of day in this particular circumstances... Saraki (& probably Zahra)were ushered in, that's that with that...

We are grown and know how things ought to be, we shouldn't let our emotion & the way we feel about the nation's state of affairs get in the way of quick / rational &objective criticism! ! Haba!!!

P.S.... I know some fools are going to keep their frozen brain in the oven to warm up & quote me to yarn dust, Please do, You'll be fixed quickly... sad

what is now the essence of the vacation. If the aims is to grant interview. He would have stay here for the vacation and be granting interview.
But he want privacy, that is why he went to hide in abuja house, he dont want to even see the queen.

Gravely sick? Unless you are privy to information not available on public domain, what I hear is 'hale and hearty'.

Yes, PYO is acting in his stead which is the right and best thing; but I'm being concerned with speculations that acts such as this tends to breed.
