Did d reporter insist on seeing d President? He asked for an interview and a reasonable response would have to go and com back at a later date or get back to him on his request.. Did d reporter stage a one man protest to see d President by any means necessary? He's doing his job of trying to get an exclusive with the President but I bet u have no idea what dat means.. Some of U really need to get a life and stop with the irresponsible criticisms.

U ask that I get a life without getting one.

Must some one on vacation grant interview on his official capacity ?

And it is not a must anybody give him a date to come back. It is written no where.

He said he saw the Senate president entering the house. This means President Buhari isn't in a hospital.
So if the President is in the hospital the senate President should stay with him in the hospital abi

you are not sounding intelligent. Is osinbajo the president? it's unheard of. For a president to go awol, but twice it's happened in Nigeria. You don't even respect the constitution. Mr patriot. you have any idea the constitutional logjam We'll face if the president prolongs his trip to Disneyland, or God forbid if he dies.

He should have asked for clearance before bugging on the president apartment

He didn't "bug" on d President's apartment, he came and asked for an interview which is what reporters do. I bet u don't know what an exclusive is.. Dats d UK where Downing street which houses d UK doesn't require barricades and fencing from a mile away. Now if downing street hasn't asked for d arrest d hundreds of reporters permanently camped right in front of it, why would a reporter b "arrested" for seeking audience with the President? D fact dat he asked for an interview doesn't mean it has to b granted. U don't have to show how uncivilized U are on every thread

We are not saying you guys should not report

Let it be caution with passion

It should also be factual

Nigeria journalist should do more of investigative journalism

Is this not investigative journalism? What else do you want to investigate?

I over look any post from this SARRKI guy, he`s working for his money. 250k salary just to spread propaganda and tackle percieved enemies of the president is not a beans.

He is part of the SMI team of Lai Mohammed. Their salary is 50k a month not 250k. Besides, he must justify it to receive the full amount. They have supervisors reading thier every post.

You do realise this is a "gravely" sick person we are talking about? & pray tell, is there anything in the rules book that this says this particular reporter must get an interview slot ..... . Is there no free will? People can choose not to want to speak with the press at a particular period, This man already did the needful... PYO is acting in his stead... Case closed..

In saner climes, head of governments don't have reporters knocking on their gates to see them,, there are protocols to these things & security wise, do you think it's ok? Would Theresa May, Trump, Mdm Merkel have people knocking on their doors & the next thing is to be ushered inside..

As for reporters camping outside the premises, that is no problem, they don't insist on seeing the person holed up inside, which knocks down your argument...
You seem to be the only logical APC supporter on nairaland. You argue with facts...unlike Your colleagues.

. Then who actually spoke with Donald Trump? We have seen it before with Yaradua playing squash, signing budget, jugging but the only thing he can not do is to talk to his country men.we will be patient, we will offer him our prayers and after 90 days we will change gear and camp in front of that Abuja house.I take delight in the word of Henry Kissinger that says the knowledge of an objective necessity as a definite scope.the handlers will continue to fumble and grope.

The handlers are handling it senselessly but since the constitution is clear on how long he can spend outside his official capacity.

We are waiting.

Is it by force to see buhari? undecided

You realise he is a public property and not a private citizen?

The reporter is on point. Citizens demand to make contact or see their public office holder, that's the way it's done in any sane society, where idol worship isn't a culture, like it is in Nigeria.

Now there's ur contradiction or confusion or both. U claim he's on vacation and now u're claiming dey went to visit a sick man. In otherwords U now admit he's actually sick ryt? So high ranking officials leaving their duties and using public funds to visit someone who's supposedly vacationing, what sense is there in dat? Since U admit d President is sick and dats why he's getting d visits, is dat still vacationing? It's as a result of dis clear confusion dat reporters would want to get an exclusive to clear the air instead of peddling falsehood and rumours... D hypocrisy is in d fact dat u see nothing wrong in a few officials wasting public funds to visit a President who's supposedly on vacation but yet U are quick see d wrong in a reporter simply doing his job by trying to get an exclusive.

Bros, as we know for a fact.... Getting an interview slot with high profile individuals is not a matter of just stumbling by & asking to see them. .... Did the guardian newpaper guy book an interview with the man prior to just knocking on the gate?

There is no news in this, this is sensationalism for the sheer hell of it... even your local govt chairman is not likely to grant you the time of day in this particular circumstances... Saraki (& probably Zahra)were ushered in, that's that with that...

We are grown and know how things ought to be, we shouldn't let our emotion & the way we feel about the nation's state of affairs get in the way of quick / rational &objective criticism! ! Haba!!!

P.S.... I know some fools are going to keep their frozen brain in the oven to warm up & quote me to yarn dust, Please do, You'll be fixed quickly... sad

Freedom of information does not trample on rights to privacy.

If u need information, u can go to the people in charge of the information and not compulsorily the President.

Which right to privacy for a public office holder?
I get it, you probably know the UK law better than the Met. Police whose job it is to enforce their own law.
