Which right to privacy for a public office holder?
I get it, you probably know the UK law better than the Met. Police whose job it is to enforce their own law.
Third world mentality everywhere!

Ok he should force his way in and go and interview him.

Since you know his right.

I would v thought u would put up a sound argument just like he did but I guess I was expecting too much. Typical of u to resort to throwing tantrums wen it's glaring there is a superior argument

The journalist didn't force his way, did he?

If I were a journalist, I would camp in front of there for as long as possible. It's a public space after all.
The lack of journalists in front of the very location shows how insignificant Buhari/Nigeria is to the rest of humanity.

Imagine, a leader of a decent society being the subject here.

The reporter is doing his job.
Nigerians have the right to know where Mr President is, they want to know why he abandoned his responsibilities and ran away to a foreign land after damaging our economy.
look inVestigatiVe Journalism is good but for a reporter to walk up to that House witHout an appointment expecting to interview a president is just stupidity.

It is not by force to grant interview.

When you are on vacation, you can choose not to speak or grant interview about ur official capacity.

Buhari is on medical leave and Osinbajo is the Acting President.

Period.
indefinite medical leave, I guess.that's y d constitution says once an office holder in this case d president can no longer discharge d responsibilities of his office due to physical or mental incapacitation, he should b removed from office. at least that will save d country some scarce forex

Are u saying that because Osibanjo is now the acting President we should forget about PMB? Is PMB not coming back to take his Presidency? So as long as he remains d substantive President he is answerable to Nigerians even during vacation to d moon. Even Americans are questioning Trumps relationship with d Russians before he was sworn in. Nobody is saying he should not rest but what is d nature of his illness. Period.

Did d reporter insist on seeing d President? He asked for an interview and a reasonable response would have to go and com back at a later date or get back to him on his request.. Did d reporter stage a one man protest to see d President by any means necessary? He's doing his job of trying to get an exclusive with the President but I bet u have no idea what dat means.. Some of U really need to get a life and stop with the irresponsible criticisms.
funny you ask that people get a life. So you know what an exclusive means? And you get an exclusive by walking up to the door without prior invitation or appointment to interview a president who is even on Vacation? Oga upgrade sha. What that reporter did is just stupidity and mischief. If he is serious he should go through the right channels or camp at the location.

The reporter should have known that our amiable Mr. President is on vacation. Why would have insist that he must interview him by force.

God bless Nigeria.

From the little I could infer from the report, he made efforts geared towards securing an appointment. All his enquiries met a brick wall. I'm sure that is why he took matters in his own hands to storm the place. He stated his mission, I believe he was expecting to book an appointment and be scheduled for a more convenient day. But al he got was 'no he's not here', 'no, you can't see him'.

In saner climes, that premises would be flooded by journalist and a host if TV presenters, taking snapshots of everyone going in and out. If that should be the case, what would have been their reaction AR the abuja house?
exactly that is why I tell you our reporters are not serious. Walking up to that door was just mischief and could amount to trespass if He was found on the property. Reporters should have camped at that location if they are indeed serious and not sit back here waiting to copy and paste.

What else do you think investigative journalism is? Should he have stayed back in his house and write a report about the whereabouts of the president without making efforts to find out things for himself? He is trying to do his job professionally and you are crying foul, what if he stays inbthe comfort of his house and writes that the president is dead or has cancer or is down with stroke? Would that be better?

Someone is making effort to get the details of what is really going on, the trip must have been sponsored by his employees, the dude must have spent hours waiting to be attended to and that is not investigative journalism. Tomorrow if he publishes a report based on speculation, you start shouting fake reporter.

U think d UK is Nigeria where d reporters sit nd wait for news to find dem abi? Why wasn't d reporter eventually arrested or even held in detention since he was way off his limits
