I noticed lots of changes to Fiverr's rating system which is annoying and killing to the sellers.


1. When an order automatically marks as completed, your "orders completed" rating will drop

2. When you cancel an order whether on a mutual agreement or not - your orders completed rating drops

3. After a client has rated you, if you request for modification of rating and the client accepts, your formal rating (in this case - the stars) will still be showing the old but your positive rating will be upgraded to the recent rating.

4. No more %100 ratings for new comers. Your positive rating, orders completed and response rate are all at %0. You have to start afresh to build them.

5. A client will still be able to rate you even when the order has been cancelled (double wahala for the sellers)

6. Due to the fact that orders automatically marked as completed now counts as "orders not completed", %90 is no longer the red line for "orders completed ratings"

More of the anomalies will be added as I experience them.

No wonder my ratings were just dropping anyhow!!

Number 5 is particularly not good. That's why I do my very best to avoid cancellation. Kudos for the headsup bro.

Nothing like saturated here o. Just write killer proposals and always refresh the page to see when new requests start coming in. The earlier you send in your proposal (killer proposal o and not too long. Go straight to d point), the higher your chances of getting picked.

I've done 5 jobs on my Nigerian account, all with 5 star reviews but it seems there is a bias against naija account. Pls, if I use my phone to be checking my emails attached to my US account, will fiverr admin find out ip address as Nigeria?

Please know when you send these messages out, you place sellers in an award position. For those who choose not to respond, their rating goes down. How many gigs do you have? I think as a newbie u're allowed 7 gigs. USE THEM ALL. Create gigs in different categories and subcategories. I'm not saying you should offer services you can't deliver o. You can just look for simple services to offer.

The more gigs you have, the more requests you'll see.

There is no such thing as being biased towards naija accounts cos I actually abandoned my US account and faced the Naija own since it was being more productive. I might agree with those in writing niche if they're the ones complaining though. What niche are you into?

Most buyers truly do not care where u're from. All they care about is that u get the work done.

please i am new to fiverr, initially i was seen buyer request, but for many days now instead of getting buyer request, i am getting seller request ,why this is happening? when it is not as if i sent buyer request.. why is my fellow sellers sending me request introducing their service to me?

Bro,this work looks like it needs actual 2D animation using ToonBoom or Flash not VideoScribe or Explaindio. Another issue is that it needs customised characters & scenes drawn not what is in the library e.g VideoScribe. Work plenty die & needs a week minimum. All the best...
