Deadly? This looks like a harmless garden snake

The simple way to tell is to open its mouth and check for fangs...if it has ordinary teeth without fangs, then its harmless/non-poisonous

This looks like the green mamba, its a highly venomous snake with very high mortality rate in recorded cases

must you call him Aboki this is the problem. you make them feel low and they turn to show you what they are. the main reason for terrorism is not islam but inferiority

I highly doubt that given that the Green mamba is not thought to have Nigeria as its habitat. Also Green mambas scarecly make human contact because they are tree dwellers and typically very shy.

Lastly, they are bright green/yellowish green unlike the darker garter/garden snake.

I was sitting down quietly today when a man very close to my site ran out with underwear claiming he saw a snake very close to the wardrobe, instantly I alerted the abo.ki working with me, the guy knows how to kill snake very well. The Abok.i guy went inside the house alone and in less than 5 minutes came out with this deadly green snake.

We persuaded the owner of the house before he returned back to the house.

Incomplete report. Where did this event take place? What time?

With incomplete reports like this, one asks: why is quality of education sinking so low in Nigeria?

So u mean one wld have to steel himself and open the mouth of a snake to check for its venomous disposition and stand d risk of being relocated to the great beyond abi? Com ehn, just maintain urself there

Bro, that is a Western Green Mamba. It probably chased a rat into that house. It is extremely dangerous with high fatality rate.

What has incomplete report on an informal forum got to do with the quality of education in Nigeria. I intentionally left out the location because of reasons best known to me.

God bless you. And most species of green snakes and water snakes rarely have fangs but trust Nigerians na...every snake is deadly (fang or no fang)

I can kill a snake in an open field, not inside a dark room. My liver may fail me.
