I really feel whatever reason he chose to start the journey must have been so convincing that he nevered cared for his financial stability.
It could be that he was pressured.

Enough? ..no amount is ever enough, but it depends more on his mindset and what concrete plans he's made for his intended family.
But if you asked of being manageable, I'd say that it's possible. It's all about planning.

Whether you have 70K, 300K or more if you don't plan properly and be content, money would never be enough. Does his intended wife have a job or business she’s running? Its advisable for a wife to have a means of finance and bring something to the table to keep the home afloat.

In addition to what the guy above Said

Does he have Savings
Does his job permit him to do a side business both he and his wife can invest in a side business and they try to save and invest more now that they are just getting married before kids start coming

No extravagant life style
A small traditional wedding can be done without the extravagance of white wedding
