Look how hard you have been trying to defend your own bigotry from the very first page after having been called out from the word go. You're obviously a lowlife punk with some free data to mess with. Quite frankly I refuse to demean myself any further by exchanging keystrokes with a hypocrite.

I hope you do follow your advise because if you engage me one last time after this post i will give you a response that will see you mourning your own self for the rest of your miserable life. crapman.

Ngozi123:
Partially, yes, they are. Nigerians are synonymous with crime over there and it's not like South Africa is the only country where we have such a reputation. It's easy for them to 'demonise' the Nigerians there as there's so many of them who are criminals. Once you demonise someone, it's very easy to treat them inhumanly, which is what we've seen in these attacks. The South Africans' problems do not start and end with the Nigerian immigrants living there and I totally condemn these attacks but to blame it on "South Africans' general laziness" alone is inaccurate. After all, South Africa isn't the only country that has a poor view of Nigerians, is it?

I agree with you on this last point but that doesn't mean that Nigerian criminality isn't partially to blame too. South Africa isn't my country so I don't really care about their issues. We have much bigger issues back home. The question you have to ask yourself is this: if Nigeria was a developed country would these attacks have happened? I don't believe that they would've, mostly because we wouldn't be exporting so many criminals around the world. The op was right when he said that we need to look at ourselves as a nation before we judge others. It's hypocrisy of the highest order!

No, not "period". Nigerians don't give themselves a good rapport abroad and it makes us a big target. I don't condone what the South Africans are doing and it certainly won't earn them any friends in the continent but Nigeria isn't totally blameless here.
Madam I disagree with everything you said, besides you deliberately avoided my question despite your plenty write up. Why were the blacks killing their white?

Are the whites criminals?

Please! Please!! Don't blame this stupid act on the Nigerian reputation and behaviour.

Another smart question!!

Are you saying Nigerians are the only ones being attacked? We are the ones with the most notorious reputation......agreed!

So why attack other black? Or are you saying S.A don't have bad People too or you want me to remind you about their dark side in terms of reputation?

It was like when we were screaming "Ghana must go! Ghana must go!!". Since they have left has it made Nigeria as good as the USA and even S.A itself? It's easy to blame one's lapses and short comings on strangers when you yoursef I your own problem.

When the USA protested that foreigners have taken their jobs, wasn't it placards that they carried? Did you hear that they killed anyone?

This attack explains how notorious south Africans are and stop making it look like they don't have black sheeps there.

South Africans are lazy and I will say that over time. I have asked that stupid Op before, so let me ask you.

Please name one successful black south African that is a big figure in their economy.

Oh this sick man again, Mods o come and do your work, help me rid this thread of cancerous bigoted trolls and leeches, Mr likes this post was not created for likes i knew it will fetch me enemies, like a man who picks an ant infested fire wood should expect ant all over his body, i expected it. if you want to see likes i have a page trending since yesterday in cartalk section in fact it made front page yesterday the likes there is over the roof, but hey that's not what this is all about, i created this post to pass a message i knew it will make me enemies but i needed to do the right thing and pass the message i am no tribalist the thread was not intended to be a tribal one, i understand why the yoruba's feel offended by the thread (I could have edited it not to offend them but i chose not too) i had to go ahead and do it for the general interest of Nairalanders and the country at large. However what i don't understand is why one who has lost all his sense of reasoning to an ancestral curse is overtly reacting to something he cannot comprehend due to this ancestral ailment.

We can't continue deceiving ourselves, we shout one Nigeria today tomorrow we remind the next person that you are more Nigerian than him, readers were slow to get the message on the thread cause they thought it was ethnically motivated but slowly they are getting it cause i see the likes increasing on my subsequent comments on page 0 and frankly speaking what even makes me happy even more is that trolls like you are helping me keep the thread alive for more to see it, the truth is everybody who read my follow up post can attest to the fact that every thing i wrote there is a true representation in Nigeria, including you but for the wickedness and discrimination in the hearts of Nigerians they want it to continue so they rather not speak about it and anyone who does is seen as an enemy of one Nigeria, but how can you really have one Nigeria when there is tension in the country and everyone quick to castigate the other i should be commended for being bold enough to speak out.

I am glad i am making a demented lunatic like you laugh probably that will help you heal faster, i am sure other nairalanders too reading my comments are laughing, that's actually the idea behind the comments, i am comical in Nature i even have a photo website i created to that effect for laughs only www.myplaydiary.com my replies are deliberately structured to be funny and make people laugh if you want to understand me better refer to my first post, as for the yorubas you want to make my enemies forget it kolewerk, now let me tell you why; i am more yoruba than many yoruba's out there, speak the language, our family was given one yoruba names and titles each by a baale from Father all the way to last son for what he built in the area (wount say where, Lagos though), Had all my education in the south west, all my friends yoruba and i mean all, even when this thread was at it peak we were having a good laugh when the tribalist stormed in and started doing their thingy, so Mr man i am not that guy you are looking for.

Once again i am glad you find my comments funny, though a compliment from a lunatic, i don't take this thing to heart i don't take them personal i am simply enjoying myself while trying to pass a message across. I still maintain Nigerians should not engage South African in South Africa. You know nothing about journalism or passing a message. well i do hope you get well soon, so we can have a more intelligible discussion. please i want to refer you to my first post read it you will enjoy it.

I don't see how naming successful black South Africans, of which there are plenty, is somehow connected to the poor reputation Nigerians have abroad... I'm sure that South Africans have got their own issues that they need to deal with but to say that the large number of Nigerians going there to commit crimes has nothing to do with it is rather naïve. There's quite a few reasons behind these xenophobic attacks imo. In addition to the influx of Nigerian criminals over there, South Africa's post-Apartheid socialist polices, it's emphasis on nationalism and the ineptitude of the ANC party have all been a recipe for wide scale public resentment. This is only heightened by the presence of other African immigrants, particularly when said immigrants end up partaking in criminal activities. South Africans could be said to have a sense of entitlement but it's their country- it's theirs to feel entitled to. I will say to the Nigerians there what I see many on here saying to Igbos living in other regions: if you don't like it then leave. Leave their country for them.

Thank you for this comment it is amazing the level of hypocrisy in the country everyone is shying away from this truth yes i know a very bitter one to swallow but it remains the truth, even igbos too are now scared to speak against the injustice on them while acting like same does happen here in the country.
They don't like the truth. One thing I've noticed with Nigerians is that it's never their fault. Whenever we hear of a crime committed by a Nigerian living abroad, the first thing many look for is the tribe that the criminal belongs to. They seldom accept it as their collective problem so I'm not surprised at all by the reactions in this thread. I'm sure that most Nigerians living in SA are law abiding citizens but what are they doing to curb criminal behaviour by Nigerians there? Have they formed a liaison with the local community to weed out the criminals or are they just ignoring the issue? The South African community must do its part but so should the Nigerians.

There are good and bad people in every group, so to claim that all of these African immigrants are criminal is first of all ridiculous. Just because you don't like these immigrants does not give you the right to loot their businesses and kill them. Is there not a legal system in SA? You are free to voice your concerns, but the moment you start vandalizing, looting properties, and murdering people, you have become a criminal, the same thing you are branding these people as. Thus your claim is rather hypocritical. It's ironic because the ones that were looted and targeted are probably not drug dealers because they were actually making a living with the businesses they own. The vulnerable in any society get targeted because they make easy scapegoats to blame society's problems on. When will peace reign in Africa?

I am sure those of you commenting above did not watch the video you only read "Nigerians form vigilante group" and you base your arguement on that, Please watch the video before commenting and I said let's not be hypocritical or sentimental rather let's be objective in our reasoning. Those of you saying so they should not protect themselves, does the law give them the right as foreigners to protect themselves, they should expect the proctection from the South Africa government or better still the Nigerian envoy, this goes a long way to show that the Nigerian government is not proactive and does not care about the welfare of it citizens.

For those of you saying the op is this or that I think you guys are just being hypocrites or myopic in your reasoning, iPob have been protesting peacefully and have been getting shot, what would you say tomorrow if you read that iPob forms a vigilante against the very people shooting them, the Igbo business men spread across the state of the federation have been continually harassed in the course of their trade what would you say if you read that they formed a vigilante in a state like Lagos, I bet yoruba's would say Igbo have come to grab their lands.

Have you guys forgotten so soon how a Igbo chief was flogged for parading himself as a Igbo chief (Eze Ndi Igbo) in Osun state and many hailed the Oba for the flogging even when it should have been condemned, have you guys forgotten so soon the oba statement about drowning in the river, what if groups were formed to avert such reoccurrence, all I am trying to point out is that there is a due process to get things done a right of way, if you take laws into your hands the consequences might be over bearing, if the South Africans decide to take on the Nigerians do you guys hailing them on really think the Nigerians stand a chance, I bet you guy will be the first to scream genocide.

Please let's reflect deeply on the consequences of our action before we embark on them or speak out the actions of our brothers in that very video up there is bad, a shame and should be condemned by all even by the Nigerian government. A word is enough for the wise.
that is just one video clip. I have seen hundreds of Nigerians getting lynched, mobbed, butchered and burnt alive. Would you be saying this if your sister or mother was burnt alive on basis of mere speculation? Say they were right, say Nigerians were actually bringing drugs to,their country. Should they just take the law into their own hands? That is why we have the authorities. That it why there's the police for them to report to.
Re: Xenophobia: See Why South Africans Do Not Want Nigerians In Their Country by 042tech: 4:06am On Mar 03, 2017
Charity begins at home, why won't the kill nigerians when Nigerians kill themselves in their own country.
You rejoice when an IPOB member is killed as if its not a human being that died
You intimidate igbos because the are in Lagos and are doing well.

If you support the killing of an IPOB member and you are against the killing of Nigerians in SA then you are a hypocrite.

Oh Biafra, our promise land that we hope and cherish.

If Biafra be restored, SA won't even try it with Biafrans because they know who we are.

Let the Kingdom of God be restored and wickedness will vanish

Once again i just see that you are talking out of context and WHY ARE YOU AVOIDING MY QUESTION? this will confirm my argument.

WHY DID THE BLACKS IN SOUTH AFRICA ATTACK THE WHITE JUST SOME FEW YEARS BACK? WHO IS MORE NOTORIOUS IN S.A THEIR WHITE OR BLACKS?

I AM USING CAPLOCK JUST IN CASE YOU DO NOT SEE.

Like i said before i disagree with you that this attack has everything to do with the NIgerian behavior abroad and that is a stupid lame excuse you are putting up.

Who is dragging S.A with South Africans? Once again you are starting to reason like the OP and talking off point.

of cos if you can't stay there then leave whatever country you are but the question is are Nigerians complaining about not liking anything South African? Are they complaining? talk with sense abeg!

Show me one country in this world without Immigrants and i will shut up!

Except you say Nigerians who are being killed shouldn't complain of being killed and if you don't like being killed then leave their country for them.

This is the most stupid comment i have read honestly.

MY POINT IS CLEAR AND YOU KEPT RUNNING AWAY FROM IT OVER TIME BECAUSE MAYBE YOU THINK YOU ARE TALKING TO A DUNCE I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU.

WHY DID THE BLACKS ATTACK THE WHITE SOUTH AFRICANS?

No need to rant or talk off point, just prove me wrong. it's a direct question so answer it directly and i can give you the grace to answer it indirectly. BUT ANSWER IT AND LET ME FLOOR YOUR THINKING.

I USED TO STAY IN AN ESTATE AROUND AN AREA VASTLY DOMINATED BY HAUSAS AND WHEN FIGHT BROKE OUT BTW HAUSA AND YORUBA PEOPLE WHO WERE BURNING HOUSE, PEOPLE HAD TO STAY UP FOR DAYS (MORNING AND NIGHT) BARRICADING THE AREA TO AVOID BEING ATTACKS AND IT WORKED. THERE WAS A GIST THAT SUCH FIGHT ONCE HAPPENED TO THE POINT THAT THE HAUSAS ATTACKED AT NIGHT AND BURN HOUSES, MURDER PEOPLE HOUSE BY HOUSE. YOUNG GUYS HAD TO MOUNT THE ENTRANCE OF THEIR AREA WITH WEAPONS (IN SELF DEFENSE) BUT DIDN'T ATTACK UNTIL MOBILE POLICE WERE DEPLOYED THERE FOR OVER 3 MONTHS.

PEOPLE WERE MOVING OUT OF THE ESTATE FOR FEAR OF THE HAUSAS AND MY WIFE WAS HEAVY THEN AND WE HAD TO LEAVE TOO. IT WAS TERRIFYING. THOSE THAT HAD NO WHERE TO GO STAYED BACK TO DEFEND THEMSELVES, YOU DEY HERE DEY TALK TRASH!

Have you have been attached before? Have you lost a property?

THOSE GUYS ARE NOT ENGAGING S.AFRICANS IN THEIR COUNTRY AS YOU CLAIM, ABI DIDN'T YOU HEAR WHEN THEY SAID NOBODY SHOULD GO TO THE S.A PEOPLE? THEY MAINTAINED THEIR OWN POSITION (IN SELF DEFENSE) BUT DIDN'T ATTACK ANYONE.

I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. DESPITE YOU PUT UP A VIDEO, YOU ARE BLIND YOU DEDUCE THINGS FROM IT.

NEGATIVE MIND.

Let me teach a$$holes here on nairaland about my country grin Let me start by SA population, 89% is Black South Africans, 8.4 is White South Africans, 2.6 is Asians. This statistic alone shows that SA belongs to Black South Africans not Nigerians and other africans, If you agree that Blacks are poor in SA, Obvious SA is poor, It's impossible that 8% of SA population can own everything in a big country like SA, South Africa isn't a small country is Bigger than Nigeria. In Our Universities majority is black south african, Let me say any where you go around South Africa is Black South Africans, The only disturbing part is grin , Black foreigners like to put their nose where it doesn't belong grin Even on this forum, You think you are clever than Black South Africans, and you are not. If you have the energy that you always praise, why your place is like this; See the below picture, You are the ones who are lazy, that is why you run away from your sh*t place, and come to the place of MPSA grin, The most beautiful place in the world. Xenophobic isn't right, But you must respect your host, that is all. If you don't respect your host, you give the bad people a chance to capitalize on your weak point, they will use that weak point to attack you. The best solution is to behave well, respect the people of that country, no one will attack you, But if you behave other wise! believe me, you will always found yourself in trouble in most cases grin

I agree with you that NIGERIA has dirty areas, Nigerians are perhaps regarded as bad people and we have a bad government too. I will agree with you that Nigerians are many things but not slaves in our own country at least.

Now let me educate you! This S.A you are seeing today Nigerians have contributed immensely to what you are today. I remember when people came to my primary school in those days to contribute money for your nation and as little as i was, i contributed from my feeding fee, despite being too young to understand why we were donating money.

This is not to stake claim to your irrational thinking nation but i'm just telling you we played a big part to your progress and freedom too. However, the sad thing is that you thin you are free from slavery but you are blinded.

You claimed that majority of the people in S.A are blacks........agreed! Why? it's because you guys give birth as chicken just like every black people would. see your president, imagine, how many wives does he have? So you can count his children but does that mean anything? NO!!

In sports, most of your athletes are all white and even in industry too. What is that thing blacks have that stand you out? You are still the only people on earth with their women displaying bare breast because you refuse to become civilized.

Did you ever find a white S.A person doing that? don't they speak languages from those tribes?

Apart from that till date, your country is running to NIGERIA to invest because you know we have the largest economy in Africa and still take our money to your country. DSTV, SHOPRITE, MTN, PROTEA HOTELS etc.. why didn't you people stay in your country? MTN were recently slammed for owing billions in tax unlike other network here.

Apart from the money Nigerians contributed for your country, we also fought for you to be free and you have the gust to talk....

[b]In March 1960, 69 black people were massacred in Sharpeville, South Africa, by the white apartheid police. That same year, Nigeria successfully liberated itself from 160-year British occupation.

The new Nigeria’s leaders’ reaction to the Sharpeville massacre has changed everything in South Africa from then on. Here is a letter Nigeria’s Prime Minister Abubakar Tafawa Balewa sent to the African National Congress (ANC) militants on April 4, 1961.
Immediately after sending the letter, Sir Balewa lobbied for the effective expulsion of South Africa from the Commonwealth in 1961.

Beyond political support, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was the first leader to provide a direct financial aid to the ANC from the early 1960s. At the height of the liberation movement in the 1970s, Nigeria alone provided $5-million annual subvention to the ANC and the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC) annually.

In 1976, Nigeria set up the Southern Africa Relief Fund (SAFR) destined to bring relief to the victims of the apartheid regime in South Africa, provide educational opportunities to them and promote general welfare.

The military administration of General Obasanjo contributed $3.7 million to the fund. Moreover, General Obasanjo made a personal donation of $3,000, while each member of his cabinet also made personal contributions of $1,500 each. All Nigeria’s civil servants and public officers made a 2% donation from their monthly salary to the SAFR. Students skipped their lunch to make donations, and just in 6 months, in June 1977, the popular contribution to the fund reached $10.5 million.

The donations to the SAFR were widely known in Nigeria as the “Mandela tax”.

As a result of the fund’s work, a first group of 86 South African students arrived in Nigeria in 1976, following the disruption of the education system in South Africa. It happened after the massacre of 700 students by the white police while the former were protesting against the decision by the apartheid regime to change their education language to Afrikaans.

Hundreds of South African students have benefited from the fund’s activity having come to study in Nigeria for free.

Beyond welcoming students and exiles, Nigeria had also welcomed many renowned South Africans like Thabo Mbeki (former South African president from 1999 to 2008). He had spent 7 years in Nigeria, from 1977 to 1984, before he left to the ANC headquarters in Lusaka, Zambia.

For South Africans, who could not travel abroad because the apartheid regime had withdrawn their passports, Nigeria’s government issued more than 300 passports.

Along with fellow African countries Nigeria lobbied for the creation of the United Nations Special Committee against Apartheid and chaired it for 30 years, longer than any other country.

Between 1973 and 1978, Nigeria contributed $39,040 to the UN Educational and Training Programme for Southern Africa, a voluntary trust fund promoting education of the black South African elite.

WE MADE YOU WHAT YOU ARE TODAY AND YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN NIGERIANS ON A PLANE LEVEL GROUND.

what you are today is based on the whites and the names of most of your so-called beautiful, popular cities are all English names and how many is south African?

YOUR BLACKS ARE LAZY AND IN WHAT AREA HAVE YOU BEEN BETTER THAN NIGERIA? EVEN IN SPORTS? WHERE? THE BRAIN BEHIND THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY IN YOUR COUNTRY ARE ALL WHITE.
