Absolutely sure! Merely looking at the gear area tells it all. What u have is an 07-09 model with upgraded kits and like i tell those who care to listen, 010 has a different gear and engine and also slight modifications to the sound system plus inclusion of VSC as standard.

U as a seller should know this except u know but chose to mislead the public.

Leave am make him sell him market so long as the car is in good condition. The price @ 2.2 alone suggests that but no, most buyers car inspectors on nairaland will call you greedy for posting genuine cars at their actual value. The engine is the only obvious component you can use to differentiate.

You should observe i showed no interest in the pricing. It is of no concern to me neither has the state of the car been challenged.......still it doesn't change the fact that the advert is misleading!

And quite frankly u need to read my response again cos itz not just the engine that is the "obvious" component that is the difference........

An obvious and stress free method is to look at the driver's door and check the window controller if they are all-auto..... No other year has this even 2011.........cheers

The noticeable differences include:
1. The engine is a 2.5 liter capacity as against 2.4 of previous years.
2. Gear is 6 speed as against 5 speed of prevous years ( appears similar to the gear of the v6 models)
3. Has a shark antena at the rear flank of the roof ( which even xle of prevous years don't have)
4. The sound system has an FM and AM option on the same button for LE and lesser models ( previous models have only FM)

This are the simplest way to identify them apart from grille and lights that can be upgraded.

And if u want to go technical u simply check the VIN....

2. Sitting in the car and looking at the shiftstick, can I differentiate if it's a 6 speed or a 5 speed gearbox?

Are your suggestions are as simple as opening the drivers door and looking at the window controls?

I had to exercise a lot of restraint in responding in a civil manner especially considering this is a forum where anybody can say things under a "masked" mode.
Let me quickly break it down to you based on questions you naively raised:

1. Yes if you open the hood u will know if itz either a 2.5 liter or a 2.4 liter engine cos they don't look alike and are not the same bro! My real concern is that you obviously didn't know dat!!!

2. Yes sitting in the car u will also know if itz a 6 speed or 5 speed gear cos they don't have the same pattern!!! Again obviously u didn't know this again......

3. I am very aware what upgrading the kits on the camry is majorly abt hence i tell sellers to say upgraded kits n not state it as a wrong year ( especially as upgrading can be expensive to do too)

You may want to google these and compare pictures cos u are such an ignorant fellow on this matter!!!!

Simple to you in all your "intelligence" should know is a relative word but lets do a little scenerio analysis based on your "simple" method at 1st glance:

1. Have u assumed itz possible u have no access to the inside of the car like it being advertied online? So u are saying u wud rather go all the way to open the driver's door irrespective of the distance the car is when u cud confirm from mere pictures!

2. Did u consider you could see a car for sale at a glance whilst driving and what wud interest u is that itz not an upgraded kit cos u cud easily figure by merely looking at the antena.......oh sorry u had rather park 1st, look for the seller to open the door to simply confirm.

3. Can u see an antena at 1st glance?

4. Do u know even know what is usually upgraded in the compared models?

I could go on and on explaining your "intelligence" in the simplest way but i don't want to get in a mud fight with u esp when it may end up in dragging oneself to your level of "intelligence."
What u have simply done is confirm u really don't know what u dabbled into...! Open the door when i can simply glance at the VIN!!! U are so very pathetic and naive.

Now having owned both models in the past arguing with your logic is in "simple terms" baseless and ironic.

I crave the OP's indulgence if he can allow you show me (in pictures) the difference between the a 2.5l and the 2.4l since they don't look alike and the gear.
