Wait o. This one I'm hearing that Messi wants Jorge Sampaoli as Barcelona's next coach, is he alright? Somebody better tell La Midget that he's dreaming and on a long thing. No be only him like better things na, shio! I'm sure that the Sevilla players who are currently enjoying playing under Sampaoli will want him to stay for long and carry on the project he started. And also Sevilla board will want to keep hold of him. I mean he just signed for Sevilla in June last year and already some people are dreaming of him joining Barcelona. Lol. SMH. If La Midget so much want to play for/under SaSampaoli, he should join Sevilla or sit his sorry ass down in Barcelona and wait till Sampaoli complete his contract in Seville.cool

LOL.

Messi's contract hasn't been renewed..Only way he is signing another deal is if Sampaoli is sure to come.

And he is not the only First team member that also likes Sampaoli..after all Neymar invited Sampaoli to his house to talk about the Brazil job before Tite was hired.Even Mascherano has a good relationship with Sampaoli.

Sampaoli has a release clause of 1.5million...it doesn't matter if he just signed for Sevilla yesterday,as far as we pay that release clause.

This is Messi Fc...and we all just support it. grin grin

Some Chelsea fans can just say anything just to discredit someone. You think say na moi moi to win the treble? You call Enrique an average coach? How dare you?

A coach that has up to 8 key players on the injury list, and still shares top spot both in the league and UCL.

Debroslink:

Pls do tell us the problem Enrique created @ Roma or shut up forever. Your over-exalted coach Mourinho could not tactically overcome the sick and late Villanova and left Real Madrid in shame.

When Mourinho tops a UCL group or leads his domestic league with 8 key players injured, then give me a call.

2017

Debroslink:

All thanks to that miserable coach in my team. That's why he's out by season's end. Imagine a Mourinho as coach with MSN in attack. Just imagine.

Airmark the Post digger, that's what inconsistency can cause in 3 seasons.

Enrique was hailed worldwide by both fans and critics in 2015. Now in 2017,he's made more critics than fans. Even if he wins the league and Copa this season, our game play has been poor all through.

The only coach I'm yet to criticise is Guardiola, yet he has a lot of critics too.

You can imagine. Sometimes I feel people just post here without really thinking of what they're posting. See how the last post contradicts the first two posts.

I'm sure no one will die if they just wait for the season to end before calling the coach names. One season of bad football will not kill anybody. As a fan, one is supposed to support the coach through thick and thin. Even if you're not going to support him, you don't have to call him names to make your point.

I can see how almost everyone here is salivating over Sampaoli taking over from LE. I can't just help but wonder if this is how they'll treat him when things start going bad after maybe, two successful seasons? Some fans have short memories.

Bro, I saw that your post about Jose handling MSN on Man U thread and almost covered my face. You don't have to go that length just to discredit Lucho after all he's achieved with the club irrespective of what the situation is now. To even imagine you once praised him to high heaven made the matter worse. You served into Airmark's hand big time grin

I won't forget how they championed a naive campaign against Enrique just because things went awry a bit. Now he's gone, I hope they can sleep better at night. tongue tongue tongue

I will bookmark all their comments for reference purposes when the new coach we will find begins to have a downturn.

To them Sampaoli is the definition of perfection. IMO Sampaoli is doing initial gragra in Sevilla. When the chips are finally down, we will find how good a coach he is. After all, Sevilla is coming from the backdrop of Europa league domination. Theirs is a team on her peak. Sooner or later, there will be a turnaround, a drop in performance, then Sampaoli will have to prove his worth.

He will struggle, just like Enrique struggled at Barca, just like Mourinho struggled in Chelsea and Madrid and now at Man united, just like Guardiola struggled at Barca, Bayern and now at Man City. All coaches struggles at some point. No one ever gets it all nice and dandy throughout their career. Theirs always the phase they all pass through, just like everyone else in our daily life.

This is what some of my fellow cules here have failed to realize.

Fair enough, I'm not even against criticising the coach as no one is above criticisms. A lot of people want LE to go, that's fine. I also want him to go because it seems the job's taken its toll on him. And not just that too, for a lot of other reasons. But it doesn't mean that I'll have to curse him out to make my point. That's what a lot of posters do here, which is disgraceful. Is that how they'll treat Sampaoli after two successful seasons?

This is of course provided he has a single successful season.
We have a tried an Argentine coach before. We know how ridiculous that season ended. I am wary of Argentine coaches esp when they coach Barca.

Honestly, me too. Tata Martino comes to mind.

Left to me, I prefer a Spanish coach to take over. But what can a man do other than support him if he's appointed coach? As it is, he's the favorite to take over. Let's just hope he won't do a Martino (which I understand as 'almost')

The reason a lot of people want him is possessive football, I guess. I want possessive football too, but I also want the trophies to come along with it.

I hate Mourinho to the core but I don't think he'll lose 4 nil to a club as low as PSG while managing a mighty club like Barcelona.

So when did losing 4 nil to a lesser team become the yardstick?
The same Jose lost to 5 nil to Barca while coaching the biggest club in the world.
Do you need to be reminded how the much rated Pep lost to Everton by same goal margin, 4-0? Or how same Jose lost scandalously to Chelsea while managing the biggest club in England and one of the biggest in the world? These things happen in football really.
Just admit you went too far in berating Lucho bro. He has given us much to cherish.

We are Barcelona. We are not Man city. We lost 7-0 to Bayern, but it's Bayern not PSG. We lost @ the semi final, not 2nd round.

If Enrique doesn't turn that margin next week, then to me, he's beneath Mourinho.

Like I said, imagine our team tutored by Mou, he won't lose 4 nil against PSG.

I hate myself for saying this, but that's the fact.

Mourinho lost 4-1 at Dortmund in a semi-final. He lost 3-1 ahome to ATM when he needed any type of win.

I am not defending Lucho as everyone knows I criticized him during the first season because I noticed a considerable change in our game play and we started playing like English "counter attacking" teams.

Because we won a treble and eventually 5/6 trophies I sheathe my sword and just remained anon. Even when we slumped again this term and played atrociously I wanted to give him a benefit of the doubt- still doing so now.

The reality is, we have the hardest job in world football in terms of our managerial requirements. We don't just want a coach to win games and trophies; but he is to do them playing an attractive and possession-laden style where we totally dominate whoever we are playing against. I knew Enrique was only going to last for a moment because he was pragmatic and delivered the goods without the style. We would have forgiven him this time around had we gone past PSG but losing 4-0 was too scandalous to bear and I am sure it neccesitated why he opted to leave come season-end.

I don't know if Sampaoli would get the job though. I think our priority will be an ex-barca player. As a result, we might go for Unzué (Enrique's assistant I think and Pep's very good friend) or we might go for Ronald Koeman. I really do not know what I want at this point but Sampaoli is definitely leading the pecking order.

It is not about who I want, but who is on the shortlist and the criteria they are looking for. I am not sure you know Bartomeu. He is not as pragmatic as Laporta or even the other sly guy. Let us watch who will be appointed.

This current board is using barcelona ex-players as coaches to look as if they're trying to keep style and tradition, when in fact they're looking for a coach who does the opposite.

What we keep listening is that the board is afraid of another Tata. It's a lie to push their agenda.

Valverde,Koeman won't bring us success,All my hope now is on Lionel Messi the dictator.. Only him to save us from the board's decision.
