If yes, Andela (In partnership with Google and Udacity) has got what you need. They have launched an “Android Learning community” initiative to help achieve your learning goals. The program consists of 2 independent tracks:

There is the Beginner track for people with little or no prior programming experience. They must (Of course) love technology, have a laptop, a Smartphone, and must be willing to commit 10+ hours per week to learning how to develop Android Apps.

Then you have the Intermediate track for people with at least 1-2 years prior Android development experience with the same time commitment.

Bear in mind that the deadline for enrollment is 30th January – 24th February 2017 for Beginner’s track and 30th January – 17th February, 2017 for Intermediate track

Nice Initiative, I wish the boom and development of Nigerian youths experienced from opensource materials available on the internet on software development and ICT can also be experienced in other areas of our economy such as manufacturing, engineering, health... Nigerians would have been developing Nigeria themselves and left the government behind.

If you dont receive an email from them soon, you most likely were not selected. Because i remember i read somewhere that the program starts beginning of March or so.

I just received an email from them now. And, I did the assessment test, my score was sent to me instantly. From the email, I would be contacted in two weeks time if selected.

I think it's supposed to be something u can do from home as long as u have an internet connection
