After a midweek of excitement and frenzy in the Nigeria Professional Football League, action returns this weekend as big names clash in match day 12 encounters which promises to be an exciting weekend in the NPFL. The highlight of the weekend fixtures would see Kano pillars battle Enyimba of Aba at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kano. The two sides are the most successful teams in the NPFL in recent years. The match will be Live on Supersport9 on DSTV and Gotv.

Another fixture to look out for is the South west derby between Mountain of Fire ministries (MFM FC) and Remo Stars of sagamu at the soccer temple in Agege, Lagos. This is the first meeting between the two sides, Mfm fc are fourth on the table and will be looking up to the league top scorer Stephen Odeh to continue on his goal scoring run as well as Sikiru Olatunbosun who scored the CNN goal of the week

Remo stars are bottom of the league despite a two game unbeaten run which the will hope to extend this weekend, Striker Victor Mbaoma will hope to add to his six goals he has already.

Similarly, Rivers united will battle league champions Enugu Rangers in Port Harcourt. Both teams finished second and first respectively in the previous seasons and are as well competing on the continent in the CAF champions league.

Other fixtures will see ABS fc host Kastina united in Ilorin, Shooting stars sports club will face league leaders Plateau United in Ibadan. Lobi stars of Markurdi welcomes Gombe united, Fc Ifeanyi Ubah and Abia warriors battle in Anambra, Niger Tornadoes versus Nassarawa united, Akwa united welcomes Elkanemi warriors to Uyo and Shooting stars face wikki tourists. All fixtures kick off by 4pm on Sunday evening.
