According to Rita who shared the painful story,her friend Mirian Oluchi Okpara died after she was electrocuted while switching on the generator for her kids.

In part she wrote....

'I write this with tears. Mirian Oluchi Okpara eventually died in that marriage. So I received a call last night from my friend, that our friend Oluchi had died. According to report, she was electrocuted while switching on the generator for the kids and the husband in the house. She was found shaking on the floor and died on their way to the hospital. Many believe she was murdered'.

Abeg, what remark? You think only rich men are abusive to their wives? I have Seen very poor men(as in they we're poor even before marriage) who married wives and still abuse them. Many times when women are abused, people justify it and say she married for this or that reason, but of a woman kills her husband, no one judges him for marrying a pretty or successful lady . Why? Should women fear to marry too because people like you will judge them if they start experiencing abuse?

I don't understand the story and the comments. Did the husband best her to death or the generator caused the death. Anybody can put on the gen besides she probably must have been putting on the gen before her death and nothing happened. It might be an accident of a naked wire or something. Just confused as to why people are blaming the husband. Abi I no read the story well

Imagine a case where the man was sleeping after a hard days work and the gen went off. Would it be right to wake him up to turn on the generator?

False, many women in Nigeria have been disposed of their properties by husband's familie because they claim she is the cause of his death. Or she gave him too much stress or some other story.
That they(the widows) don't come out to rant doesn't mean it doesn't happen. The husbands family does the foaming and puffing. And if she complains on social media they will also rant on social media.

dear I am not saying ur position is wrong. Its an observation I have observed that I offered. The magnitude of foaming women do when a woman is a victim of certain ills is always greater and then non existent if a man was the unfortunate victim. I find that abit victim blaming.

Now as much as its assuming and naïve for a husband's people to assume a wife killed her husband if malaria killed him, is how incredulous that every time a woman dies or sometime, domestic abuse stories will always follow by people who claimed to be in the know. Am not saying its not true, but its so conviently consistent each time dat I have doubts on its occurence

You are trying to say the victim should be more exposed or experienced with men because she was a model. You even went to say she married could have married for money. Which is not necessarily true. Plus you know absolutely nothing about the modeling industry. You have been caught talking baselessly. Quietly admit your error and stop beating around the bush by using words that you don't understand, and cannot apply in the context of the issue being discussed.

Well I think the trouble here is "reasonable exposure/experience with men" which u ran off with. Le'me brk it down . Keep calm, it's coming; now here it is: u "understood" dat phrase to imply that was a free-for-all, forgetting entirely the meaning of "reasonable" in dat phrase. (#talkstohimself: I catch am wella ). Now, u wldnt want Papi to explain the contextual use of "reasonable" now, wld u? Cos Papi wld be nonplussed by ur "impressive" level of "understanding"
