I am trying to understand your long sentence. Nigeria with their nonsense interpretation. She was putting on the generator .. did they tell you the type of generator? Were you even told what killed her. Abeg get fact before you cast aspersions

That's a lesson for all our ladies.
If your husband doesn't cherish u, break up and start a better life. The more you endure a failed relationship, the worse it becomes.
Bastards will always remain bastards. They will never change.

One way to die: remain in abusive relationship. You would pay dearly for it and he would become free to follow all those smelling sh!ts.

According to Rita who shared the painful story, her friend Mirian Oluchi Okpara died after she was electrocuted while switching on the generator for her kids.

In part she wrote....

'I write this with tears. Mirian Oluchi Okpara eventually died in that marriage. So I received a call last night from my friend, that our friend Oluchi had died. According to report, she was electrocuted while switching on the generator for the kids and the husband in the house. She was found shaking on the floor and died on their way to the hospital. Many believe she was murdered'.

See the screenshots above for a better narration.

Abeg, what remark? You think only rich men are abusive to their wives? I have Seen very poor men(as in they we're poor even before marriage) who married wives and still abuse them. Many times when women are abused, people justify it and say she married for this or that reason, but of a woman kills her husband, no one judges him for marrying a pretty or successful lady . Why? Should women fear to marry too because people like you will judge them if they start experiencing abuse?
Why your sudden High BP?

Did I judge anyone? why put words in my unfinished sentence? Just Negodu

I don't understand the story and the comments. Did the husband best her to death or the generator caused the death. Anybody can put on the gen besides she probably must have been putting on the gen before her death and nothing happened. It might be an accident of a naked wire or something. Just confused as to why people are blaming the husband. Abi I no read the story well
I believe they would have preferred the man died instead.

Imagine a case where the man was sleeping after a hard days work and the gen went off. Would it be right to wake him up to turn on the generator?

See the children, step by step. E be like say once the woman born, the man go give am one month grace before impregnating her again as if na dog breeding program.
For the single ladies out there, the most dangerous man to marry is an insecure, over possessive, jealous man who lacks confidence in himself.
She has died before her time.
Though the family have blame for allowing their daugther to be 'imprisoned' by this man. Maybe he paid a huge dowry & felt he has bought the wife & can thus do as he pleased.

RIP cry

Rest in peace

Silly tatafo report.
Thought I was the only one that noticed it.

Already, the man is being accused for killing her.

If that woman was going to a near by house to grind pepper and she falls down and died...."the husband in the house will be blamed" for not buying a car to take her to the grinding machine.

No body asked if she has been the one switching on the generator even when the husband is not around....if she doesn't know how to put on the generator, she won't go near there . They should go carry out an autopsy to determine the cause of her death instead of false accusations. ..and trying to call a dog a bad name in other to hang it. Such an unfortunate accident.

Though the woman is beautiful! And may her soul find everlasting peace.

While we are in the corridors of assumptions, pls cld u pin-point what u called "my assumptions"? Besides dat, nowhere did I say she was a prostitute. Maybe that's how u understood my statement, although ur understanding was far disjointed from the clear and simple meaning of my comment. I don't think she married her sch boyfriend, cos the attitude displayed by the hubby is one consistent with a lot of middle aged men of his extraction; except he was a sch boyfriend, well advanced in age. So back to the ish: point out my assumptions in my earlier comments, pls.
What the hell do you mean by reasonable measure of experience/exposure to men because she was a model? Maybe you are writing sentences without thinking deeply of the meanings you are passing across. Who told you she could not have married her university boyfriend?

Yes i'm asking you....if the husband was in the house nko?

Igbos worship their husbands....if after beating an igbo wife and she mistakenly cries to her parents house to report her husband, her parents will beat her more and ask her to go apologize to her husband weather the man is right or wrong...
Igbos are slaves in their marital homes... Talking from experience

They should blame Nepa too for taking the light. They should blame the generator seller for selling the Gen to the man...and the list goes on and on

I do not think many prefere him dead. I believe they are looking at it from experience angle. Like if an inexperienced person decides to connect or fix a faulty electrical appliance while someone who is believed to be more experienced is around. Those wishing him dead are quite daft. I see no biggie if a woman knows how to do handy things around the house and does it. no biggie at all.
Like if a man is cooking lunch and gets hurt, people would say he was cooking while his wife was at home. You know, like he can not be expected to cook a meal safely. So people would say, where was the wife? Not because she should be the one hurt but because, she is believed to know how to safely cook without incident.

I believe they suspect he killed her and claimed she died while turning on the Gen. At least, that is what I getbfrom this story. Abeg, I Don tire. Naija and deaths Don tire me.

Look, stop using big English that you don't understand and throwing insults when you have been shown to assume wrongly. You are trying to say the victim should be more exposed or experienced with men because she was a model. You even went to say she married could have married for money. Which is not necessarily true. Plus you know absolutely nothing about the modeling industry. You have been caught talking baselessly. Quietly admit your error and stop beating around the bush by using words that you don't understand, and cannot apply in the context of the issue being discussed.

False, many women in Nigeria have been disposed of their properties by husband's familie because they claim she is the cause of his death. Or she gave him too much stress or some other story.
That they(the widows) don't come out to rant doesn't mean it doesn't happen. The husbands family does the foaming and puffing. And if she complains on social media they will also rant on social media.
dear I am not saying ur position is wrong. Its an observation I have observed that I offered. The magnitude of foaming women do when a woman is a victim of certain ills is always greater and then non existent if a man was the unfortunate victim. I find that abit victim blaming.

Now as much as its assuming and naïve for a husband's people to assume a wife killed her husband if malaria killed him, is how incredulous that every time a woman dies or sometime, domestic abuse stories will always follow by people who claimed to be in the know. Am not saying its not true, but its so conviently consistent each time dat I have doubts on its occurence

Many women die everyday, you do not read that they were abused or killed by their husbands. Only a few in which case the husband has been actively suspected of abused get these kinds of attention. I believe bad wives who cause their husbands deaths too also get dragged. My opinion sha. The truth may come out, the man may be abusive but did not kill her or he may have killed her and said she died while turning on the Gen. No one knows. But I think they should have autopsy done to confirm or disprove their suspicions.

Did u say "insult"? Chai! See wat APC a MMM have done to us.
Well I think the trouble here is "reasonable exposure/experience with men" which u ran off with. Le'me brk it down cheesy. Keep calm, it's coming; now here it is: u "understood" dat phrase to imply that was a free-for-all, forgetting entirely the meaning of "reasonable" in dat phrase.
