South easterners are just groups of parasitic folks in another man's land and slaves in their own land. Enough of this noise making, even Southerners haven't crippled Nigeria talk less of the region with absolute no contribution to the federal pursue. I'm personally tired of reading their display of regional foolishness 11 Likes 2 Shares |

And they probably think this is a nice move. Why would you cripple the economy of nation you live in because of secession? You are forcefully causing hardship so the Efik, Igbo, Ijaw people and other Southerners would be forced to do something outrageous and then secede. They should be more strategic Instead of causing mayhem. Let the Southern and Eastern States of Nigeria be a home to commerce and tourism. They should encourage entrepreneurship and education to help prepare Biafra for a Solid state after gaining their Independence. Catalonia in Spain wants to secede, California in North America wants to secede, the difference between Biafra and the countries aforementioned is that they have a contingency plan and marketable economy. 1 Like |

Onyejemechimere:as for me the igbos have a right to self determination and they shouldn't be castigated I think the Yoruba's are lazy and the way this country is going is not gonna be good for either of us my best bet is the Igbo's and the yorubas should strike a balance and call for a referendum so that this northern might, will be broken a word is enough for the wise I'm a Yoruba boy oooo my opinion though. 4 Likes 3 Shares |

SuperS1Panther: -See below part of the declassified records of the Nigeria/British war against Biafra:- ->As a result Britain supplied six Saladin armoured personnel carriers (APCs), 30 Saracen APCs along with 2,000 machine guns for them, anti-tank guns and 9 million rounds of ammunition. Denis Healey, the Defence Secretary, wrote that he hoped these supplies will encourage the Nigerians ‘to look to the United Kingdom for their future purchases of defence equipment’. - By the end of the year Britain had also approved the export of 1,050 bayonets, 700 grenades, 1,950 rifles with grenade launchers, 15,000 lbs of explosives and two helicopters. -In the first half of the following year, 1968, Britain approved the export of 15 million rounds of ammunition, 21,000 mortar bombs, 42,500 Howtizer rounds, 12 Oerlikon guns, 3 Bofors guns, 500 submachine guns, 12 Saladins with guns and spare parts, 30 Saracens and spare parts, 800 bayonets, 4,000 rifles and two other helicopters. -At the same time Wilson was constantly reassuring Gowon of British support for a united Nigeria, saying in April 1968 that ‘I think we can fairly claim that we have not wavered in this support throughout the civil war’. -These massive arms exports were being secretly supplied – indeed, massively stepped up – at a time when one could read about the actions of the recipients in the newspapers. After the Biafran withdrawal from the mid-west in September 1967 a series of massacres started against Ibo residents. -The New York Times reported that over 5,000 had been killed in various towns of the mid west. About 1,000 Ibos were killed in Benin city by local people with the acquiescence of the federal forces, the New York Review noted in December 1967. -Around 700 Ibo males were lined up and shot in the town of Asaba, the Observer reported in January 1968. According to eyewitnesses the Nigerian commander ordered the execution of every Ibo male over the age of ten. ..credit: Mark Curtis (British journalist). 4 Likes 1 Share |

mightyhazel:Dat guy u quoted is a bastard for making such comment. When u see certain comments here u begin to wonder wen d killing of civilian population in a war situation has become something to be proud of. It only goes to show dat inspite of heavy support from the west, the inept Nigerian Soldiers(hausas and yorubas combined) couldn't defeat an army of less Dan 300,000 and out of frustration had to result to targeting the civilian population . It is something to be ashamed of but here u see people with half or no brains bragging about it. It even goes against the rules of engagement and it is a serious crime against humanity in saner climes. I just pray some of dem find peace in their miserable lives coz they r always bitter wenever Biafra is mentioned. I don't mind getting banned coz of him. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Their is always a diplomatic way of doing things rather than having to start wasting their own lives. This is arrant foolishness, they won't learn from Ojukwu's mistake hence the reason the 'educated illiterates' among them blindly follow their messiah in prison. If after all d books u v read on this war coz I feel surely u must v read one or two books n den u still deemed it fit to put the blames on the Easterners den u my guy r a useless dimwit. I can't waste my time schooling u on something u obviously know the truth about but purposely decide to feign ignorance whatever reasons. Inspite of the war and d setbacks, the Igbos v come back stronger. U r not in anyway better dan d average Igbo man so y r u ranting ur life away? SuperS1Panther: I was going to reply some senseless erroneous comments on this thread but then I saw your responses to those igbo parasites that have been leeching off our region since we conquered them during the civil war and made them 3rd-class citizens of Nigeria. So there's no need for me to comment again. You've spoken well. Their irrational baseless hatred for the Yorubas has been and is their biggest misfortune and the crux of their retrogression. 11 Likes 2 Shares |
