It seems you have good experience with Infinix phones. I have little challenge that am trying to resolve.

My phone internal memory is 12GB with 1gb ram. Now memory is full hence slowing the device. I decide to get Memory card to store all my videos there but unfortunately after moving all videos to memory card. About 90% of the files are not playing but they are visible.

When I move some back to phone memory, some played while some did not. Displaying error message: file format not supported.

Can you assist with any idea on how to rectify? it's Infinix hot

Well, haven used the Infinix zero, hot, hot note and hot 4, I have come to the conclusion that Infinix are learners when it comes to smooth running of apps. I've used all the phones listed above and they have one thing in common - LAGGING. All my Infinix phones have been 2g ram but even with huge free memory, my apps hardly ever ran smoothly.

Worst is if I open many apps, the phone hangs and could even restart. I had to sell my hot note cos of this. I bought the hot 4 hoping it's gonna be better but I think even My previous Innjoo One and fire beats it in terms of smooth runs. I no even mention tecno. Sometimes, even ordinary SMS and phone dialer will lag. They really need to get their acts right.

The class is normally written in a circle on the memory card itself. Asking the seller might d you no go since many of them are ignorant of this. I repeat, buy from trusted hands here on nairaland like Initialize, you won't have any need to worry. As for me, I have had terrible experiences with memory cards, including the ones I bought from Jumia (about 4) the best of them took about a year before it started misbehaving.

Time to get a new one. It might not be fake but got damaged through improper handling like not switching off your phone before removing SD card.

I checked the memory card, it's lacking the circle with class. I will contact the said name.

At OP, how can you open so much porn sites and expect your phone not to lag or drag? I use hot note for 2yrs now and haven't had such as u complained..

I stopped experiencing phone hanging since I drop my Z10/Z30 BB. Mine has never hanged

Am still enjoying my jiayu bought over 2 years ago... The phone is elegant solid rudget and beautiful. I have bricked it times without number but the maintaince is very easy.. The phone is easyly twicked and accessed currently am on ANDROID N... how many phone have moved to this latest OS...

infinix hot2 has 7.0 but hard to find

My infinix hot note charging port gad been given me problem. I have repair it at calcare ikeja once nd they help me to change the charging flex. This was within 5 month. The next 5 month the charging port go bad again as my pc was not seeing it.

I need to repair it as infinix want to charge me for new board which am not ready to pay for 16500.

For u info.. Mtn, Glo nd Etisalt have stopped subscriptions for BB OS7 nd below.. Bold 5 is also affected.
The only way u can browse on tht fone is to get an Airtel sim, cos that is the only network still supporting that fone.

Simple. The Os is optimized to run well on the processor so software optimization is very important.

Apps crash because
1. There's little memory.

2. The OS and processor doesn't agree so the system terminates the process because it takes longer time to load.

3. Ineffective client optimization, there are established techniques in minimizing how an app manages resources but if a developer cuts corners or fails to implement them, that doesn’t always go unnoticed.

4. Incompatibility issues. I will break this into two parts.

4i. Running New app on old OS version. Example, running app that's targeted for lollipop on kitkat.

4ii. Incompatible issues due to OS alterations by phone manufacterers. You know that some phone manufacterers don't ship their phones with stock Android OS. They customize it and it may end up not being nicely optimized for the device and may have it slowed down
He should not forget ram size please because the last time I checked, Android apps use Java, and need all the extra RAM to do something called garbage collection. I can't explain this here but Android phone need as many rams as possible because things are changing and apps are being programmed to require much ram.
Take for instance, pictures that used to be in kilobytes now take as much as 5megabytes.

I have not used Note 4 because I have quit using infinix so I won't say what I don't know.

dual core apple phones run well bcoz they are powerful,heck apples a10 chip is probably the most powerful out there as of now(huawei kirin 960 comes close in CPU speed but loses out in GPU power).am tired of people making it sound like apple socs are not as powerful as others socs,the number of cores don't determine how powerful a phone chipset is

What kind of software do you use? Where do you download them? Do you brick your phones? My brother, Infinix Hot4 is cool. Been using it for over 7 months now dude... Installed Dream league soccer, Mobdro, NFS, FIFA 16, Asphalt amongst several others and i don't experience lagging... Your experience might be due to some of your actions on the phone. 5 friends of mine already bought Infinix Hot 4 when they saw its usage overtime...

You are correct about the poor software thing, but its not just the software that affects the smooth running of your phone. The processor used is of utmost importance, forget about the size of ram. If you have a very good processor then 2gig ram is just enough for you coupled of course with good software optimization. Next time before you settle for a device, put these into consideration, but before you point fingers totally on Infinix for bad software, have you handled to zero 4? If the experience is similar then I can agree 100% with you, because it uses a good processor (Mediatek Helio x20).

I am currently using one n its probably one of the best phones out there now...i alsi used hot 2 sometime, it never gave me laggung issues. It served every purpose for which i needed it with aplomb

Tho av never Been opportune to use hot series or note series. But av used zero 3 and zero 1 and m still surprised at what op us complaining of.

There are many adulterated or substandard infinix product. Just yesterday I did some check up on zero 3 pro internal storage using a software I realise one was 2.88 while the other one was 2.99.
Truth is infinix may be a bad seller, most of their phone ought to be recall cuz some of them had some serious error. What do I know, may be av always been fortunate in choosing the right spec for me

is it just ur PC that isn't seeing it,have u tried a new(original) USB and then gone to device manager and manually update to USB media device

Change your SDCARD as the one you're currently on is FAKE
Saying this from experience. I use an Infinix phone and runs smoothly without lag

Get an original SDCARD. Do not buy from roadside sellers. A Class 10 memory is what you'll need

you're so so correct.. that's the main reason i sold my infinx.. ordinary call dialer, na war to run am... that's why ive vowed not to patronize them anymore... i dislike their phone! Good write up OP.

am with u on this, I bought my zero2 since 2015, and it giv me no stress, but since last wk now, the Fone has being doing somehow, it will just Off it self, and is becoming rampant this days.

i know u will say that but really i have tried all that. even infinix is aware of the hardware issue of the hot note. the charging port uses flex and its a sub board in part of the main board thats why the problem will persist no matter what. changing the charging flex is the solution but infinix want to charge me on my main board. .

other phone charging port are part of the main board, but this hot nopte is not like that

As for me, with my Hot 4 Pro, I am enjoying the phone like no tomorrow.
I have not experienced the lagging you complain about, and I have run ALL sorts of games (including over 1gb games) , some even running simultaneously (just to know the capacity of the phone ), and it neither lags nor crashes.
I love the sleekness of the OS and easy navigation, not like gionee M5 (M5 has its advantages).

and anytime I want to run VERY large apps, I can activate the high performance setting, though it reduces the battery life.
I have zero complaints about the Hot 4 Pro.

Infinix hot 4 has software lag? i disagree with you, I tried to do funds transfer in access bank , the atm wasnt working and my phone didnt have the facilities.

One kind chic at the bank agreed to use her phone which was an infinix hot 3 to do transfer using the mobile platform, it was fast , just like using the computer.

You phone has a bug problem, you should check it before coming to such erroneous conclusion.

infinix and Tecno are the same , if tecno is fast I dont see why infinix should be slow.

By and by they re chinko products you should expect much from them , despite the high prices they command now (over N40k) they re still crap but not slow as you said.

Convert that 40k to dollars and you would know that two years ago they would have cost around 20k or thereabout

Very true, just didn't want to go into that area, many people actually think that numbers are always better.
