A security source in Maiduguri says Boko Haram terrorists have killed a Nigerian army Lieutenant in an attack in Magumeri town in Magumeri Local Government Area of Borno State on Wednesday evening.

The source said the militants ambushed Lieutenant AC Oguntoye and his colleagues on their way to Gubio from a shooting range competition in Monguno. The officers were pinned down by terrorists in Magumeri where they razed down houses, including a police station in the town.

The militants rode into the area in 10 utility vehicles, shooting and attacking military formations. A press release from the Nigerian police stated that a police Sergeant Haliru Aliyu was also killed in the attack while another sustained leg injury from gunshots.

A spokesperson to the Nigerian army later said the insurgents who were being shielded by members of the Magumeri community have been subdued.

WHY CANT THEY USE THE AIRFORCE TO FINISH THESE BOKOS JUST LIKE THEY DO IN THE SOUTH SOUTH??

AS FOR ME I AM STILL WAITING FOR KEMI OLUNLOYO'S INVESTIGATIVE REPORT ON APOSTLE SULEIMAN AND STEPHANIE OTOBO

Unfortunately, Air power has it's own limitations. therefore, after intense air raids and straffing, you still need ground forces to go in and finish up the job.

But how do you even finish killing these guys? They seem to always remain. It will take time but we shall see the end of them.

Imagine how they are systemically reducing ranking officers from southern Nigeria. Before you know top officers from the west, east and south won't be much compared to their northern counterparts.

This is a conspiracy theory and only the wise will understand. They have the mentality of born to rule, born to remain on top. So they will stop at nothing to achieve it. Keep shouting one Nigeria whereas in the real sense that isn't the case.

Northerners feel they own this country and every other person is a second class citizen. How many of them have tried to mediate when the igbos and Yorubas throw punches at each other here? Because our division is to their advantage.

Keep fighting each other while they penetrate deeper. Gradually the Fulani herdsmen are growing in impetus and boldness in committing chaos in southern Nigeria. They started from the northern central now they are going deeper into west and east. When they realize we can't do shit, they begin to impose sharia laws.

The number of southern army officers that are dying under HAUSA MAN WAHALA is becoming alarming this days.

Several aspiring Army Officers largely from the south and who for no better reasons than protecting our so called divided country have to sacrifice their precious life.

Soldiers from Hausa/fulani tribes are largely posted to Operation crocodile tears in the south where they feed fat on Niger delta oil money but those soldiers from the south are taking to the harsh and risky territory in the north mostly the troubled boko haram area where they loose their life.

Let have a national referendum in Nigeria for people seeking self determination.

Buhari and his family are enjoying life under state expenditure but prefer to send our poor soldiers to fight a difficult adversary under a harsh weather condition.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Let there be a national referendum to determine the future of Nigeria as a nation.
