My people Magu has a lot to hide, and he FAILED the screening to be honest!! All the DAURA led agency has left to do is conduct a "sting" operation on Magu, all this talk go end.

This clearly shows that our politicians are very corrupt,but they tend to forget that the masses are aware of their plan,the senate spokesman was very rude to say that Nigerians are entitled to their opinion forgetting that he is being paid by taxpayers money.The senate is a haven for corruption and impunity exhibiting double standard in the discharge of their duties.If this intrigue continues the electorate will seek their recall since we know they are not really representing us.

I only pity the President who seems to me have lost control of his governmental agents ,how on earth could i hired DSS to work fir me and they would send stupid report to the senate over a man I nominated to work for me ? You are an embodiment of EVERY THING wrong with Nigeria! Did Buhari hire the DSS to work for him?? Please the Buhari u knew in the 80s did not change and his handling of govt is similar. As for Magu if you really listened to the screening you would forget about Magu and ask for a brighter bulb.

While it's okay for us to blame politicians and everyone else for Magus travails, how about the reports on him by the DSS? He couldn't deny it as being fabricated which shows he is guilty of the allegations. There was a loophole n his adversaries made d best use of it, it's that simple.

He was arrogant. Nobody will sympathize with him.

Theoretically Magu may not sound but practically he knows the honey of business. Saraki and his senalooters well known what magun means in Yoruba language. Due this they can't confirm him.

If I'm going for an interview I wud prepare and try and predict d questions I wud be asked, but magu boldly said he doesn't know how much has been recovered, such incompetence

And the question of how much he had recovered so far should ve been first on the list. He foolishly played into their hands, the stakes against his confirmation were just too high..

So does it now mean that any conviction of any suspect that he eventually gets in his acting capacity will be ultra vire and thus null and void..?

It behoves on the President to send his nominees for confirmation as soon as possible to preempt this kind of games from the scoundrels in the National Assembly. If Magu had been confirmed before he showed his hand we would have been saved this drama.

Unfortunately, Nigerian is without future. Corruption is so rooted in this country such that I guess even Satan himself is surprised and confused. I don't even blame the old fools, instead I blame the youth who support and have them as godfathers and role models. Nigeria will not get better until the day there'll be a grand conspiracy by the youth against these crooks.

The governors and other corrupt senators in the house are not up to 1/3 of the entire house. Then how come the rest of the senators (mostly APC) didn't vote in support of Magu?

Truth of the matter is that even though the senators may have voted him out for selfish interest, but its hard to blame them for doing their job.
Should they have given him a free pass even with the indicting report from DSS?

Even though there seems to be schemings from people in high places against Magu, I'm more interested in building and strengthening our institutions and selection processes.

We have over 700 LGA in Nigeria and I can authoritatively tell you that each of these LGAs have the capacity to produce 5 candidates way better, efficient and corrupt free than Magu.

For the record, I can never hold brief for the senate. But we have to say the truth when the need arises.

What you simply don't understand is that there is power play in the Senate. when some senators talks on the floor of the Senate, others shuts up. Do u know how many former governors that are occupying the Senate at the moment. Do u also know that some of these governors foisted the present governors( some of which have been caught in the web of this malfeasance) on the people in their respective states. So like the story reads, there is conspiracy of aggrieved forces being displayed in the Senate. If a first-time senator dare acts contrary to the interest of either the former governor turned senator or present governor on whose back he rose to become a senator, then he is a goner.

First, Magu's stay as acting chairman was legal until his rejection. So, the convictions are legal.

Secondly, Magu does not secure convictions, EFCC does through her lawyers.

Legal filings from EFCC to the court does not bear his name, except he's a witness. The koko of the matter should be to make sure EFCC were not framing people.
