MikeCZA:it is not about different cultures, it is more like 2 idiots not being able to communicate properly ![]() why u meant by industrialization i cant comprehend, but what i meant my productionization is , when a weapon is in prototype stage its components r manufactured in laboratories, but when the weapon moves on to productionization stage , its components r qualified for production with corresponding toolings at industrial level inert /dummy warhead |

nemesis2u:Goes to industrial level after reaching product base line or the production standard prototype. Then tools(factory) for manufacturing the product are then put in the place. That's what I meant by industrialization. 1. Pic: UAE RG-35 multi purpose fighting vehicle in Yemen with it's cover on the front wheel section knocked off plus signs small arms fire damage.

iblawi:really ashamed of Russia n its military. China would have done a better job. instead of Iran wasting its missiles in the name of drills let it deploy them to Syria.and form an air defence bubble. even its F14 are needed there. |

![]() there is lot in play , which common people like us and the media even dont have a clue. i hope u have seen boxing matches and u have also heard of matches being fixed where both the parties get what they want , but the general public sees only the winner and thinks the winner is the king while sometimes the deal might be such that the loosing side will ends up being a king for life . ![]() geopolitics between 2 countries is like a boxing match with all kinds of shit thrown in , without the public being any wiser. the Israelis and Russians were cooperating on middle east when russian sale of yakont to syria was objected to by israel , this lead to cooling down of relation. the israelis were transfer some real hi tech on UAVs against US wishes to russian before it came to a grinding halt. however what i know at intelligence level , israel and russian ties r very strong, and not the least effected by their squabbles on other issues. |

giles14:US or NATO won't shoot down Russian Jets. They'll rather scramble jets to intercept Russian jets. |

giles14:yeah they might do so if they want to prove a point , but they will make sure their aircraft transponders for IFF r working damn good and not in non-cooperative mode .this is brinkmanship , to gauge the response and line of though/posture/stance of the adversaries mind. ![]() and the limit to which u can push ur adversary just before he begins to loose it ![]() |

Lockheed Martin to recoat U.S. Air Force F-22s Lockheed Martin has received a $40 million contract modification to sustain the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor fleet. Under the agreement, the company will strip and recoat F-22 coatings reverting earlier than initially expected. Work on the contract will be performed at various locations in California, Georgia, Utah and Texas. The U.S. Department of Defense expects the work to be completed by the end of June 2019. Lockheed Martin received $6.4 million at the time of the modification award. The project will be managed by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center located in Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The F-22 Raptor is a 5th-generation tactical stealth fighter first introduced in December 2005. Lockheed Martin says the plane is designed to perform air superiority missions. The jet is typically armed short-range missiles and long-range missiles with beyond-visual-range capabilities. It can also fire air-to-surface weapons. |

giles14:I think Israel and Russia have some diplomatic understanding on the issue of Hezbollah in Syria. With Israel in Syria, i think that is purely a Syrian matter. If reports are correct, this would be the second Israeli jet shot down in Syria by the Syrians. |

Indian 105mm guns r of 2 types LFG (light field gun) and IFG (indian field gun) along with their variants. now private companies r working to upgrade these with digital systems , better recoil systems , traverse/elevation system , networking systems etc to enable better firepower and range in a netcentric battlefield.

http://pib.nic.in/newsite/erelease.aspx?relid=159499 "A beginning was made at the Conference by signing of two agreements between HAL and United Aircraft Corp and United Engine Corp of Russia, for general terms and conditions governing long-term supply of spares and rendering technical assistance over five years for the IAF’s Su-30MKI fleet." At last the guaranteed integrated logistics package has been inked, following negotiations that began (believe it or not) in 2009. ![]() Under this scheme, the JV called Indo Russian Aviation Ltd (IRAL) will own and manage complete bonded warehouses (for both the IAF & export customers) containing ALL required rotables and consumables for the Su-30MKI, in addition, to spare AL-31FPs. So by the year's end, Su-30MKI fleet's serviceability and availability levels will go beyond 75% even during peacetime. |
