There are 2 phenomenon that led to the creation of GoshenCoin:

i. The recurring contraction in global economies, with the most recent being the fall in prices of commodities in the international market, especially crude oil.

Cryptocurrencies, especially bitcoin, have being widely touted to replace fiat currency, because it is not prone to inflation. Bitcoin remains the most prospective cryptocurrency, and 'most stable' but has shown to be very volatile. In the first week of January of 2017, the price of bitcoin fell from above $1,000 to just over $700 in a few days. It has since appreciated above January highs, but not over another imminent price crash.
