Dude is making lots of money for them, they will use him till the final week ,milk his fans for all they are worth and then give the money to someone more deserving. It's not about whether it 'works' or not, it's about a lot of them not considering or even caring about the emotional and psychological impact they may be inflicting on previous wives when if the roles were reversed most men would not be able to take it.
