weedtheweeds:You call defaming someone 'Not Hurting"? do you know what character assassination does? I don't know if the punishment meted to her is the best, but don't ever say she's not hurting anyone by just speaking...Just speaking had caused war? go ask them in Rwanda. People need to start getting punished in this country for saying unfounded stories. You can't destroy a name people have been building for years and say you're just speaking your mind. There's freedom of speech, but use it lawfully not to hurt someone else's freedom. If what she's saying is true, no problem, let her proof it and she should be released, if it not, let her eat watery beans for some days to teach her a lesson of proper public conduct. |

This is what happens when an old woman in age refuses to grow up in sense. She has always been fond of cyber-bullying. Never knew where to draw the line between activism and character-assasination. Even a little baby (Seyilaw's) wasnt spared in her mischief. She has bitten more than she can chew now. Let hear bear the brunt of her actions. Check out my profile for beautiful men's loafers |

ptolemy247:It's simple, let Apostle Suleman Sue Otobo, If it's false. From the Suleman/Otobo stories, she has concrete evidences and I'm sure she would release more if Suleman keep denying. Nobody is saying don't speak your mind, just make sure you're not making up stories, If Olunloyo's story is true, let her proof herself, enough of trash. |

weedtheweeds:I applaud you for seeing the incarceration of this lady for what it really is. As much I don't like the woman or how she makes me cringe each time she writes or calls herself an "investigative journalist"which is a smack in the face of journalism or how much her pieces are riddled with factual inaccuracies, the authorities have arrested her on quite spurious and shaky grounds. Cybercrime should involve offences such as phishing or fraud or sexual offences. What she is alleged to have said about the pastor is libellous - nothing more. People are languishing in Nigerian jails without bail or charged and this exemplifies what is wrong with our judicial and policing authorities, it is a miscarriage of justice and abuse of due process. Other hand there are people walking around doing alot worse including our senators and politicians? We should arrest everyone for everything and see who is left. The pastor should have taken her to court and sued for damages. It is a civil matter and not a criminal offence. Everyone jubilating about her predicament, show me where in our constitution or law it mentions "cybercrime" the police have used this term to conduct unlawful arrests. They search your phone illegally, they see something they do not like which is actually innocous and they arrest you for cybercrime?! Having her arrested is abusing anyone's constitutional rights and for a pastor to do this shows how easily the scales of justice can be swayed for the rich and mighty. Only in Nigeria will every Tom, Dick and Harry can demand the arrest of another person without grounds or clear evidence and most times for offences that do not even exist. It should not be happening in a civil society. If someone says or writes something you don't like or approve, challenge them with facts or ignore them or take legal recourse. Stop being a cry baby about it. Cyberbullying? GTFOH if you are above 18 years old , you deserve koboko. |

I would have felt pity for her but meehhnn, that aunty's mouth and brain lose no be small. Cursing God and Jesus? If she had been moderate in been posts and speech, I'm sure even Sahara Reporters would have blown her case wide open such that the police would have no choice but to free her. |

Zeuz007:Libel is not a crime. It is not an offence. I am yet to see an arrest in saner climes for a very "tenous" term such as that. You sue the person to court and not waste police or authorities time which should used for more urgent and pressing matters. Emotional damages? Are you serious? What a generation of butthurt people social Media is raising? Was he assaulted? I will speak for those who cannot speak because I am my brother's keeper. Do you know what is evil? It is also seeing an injustice and standing idly and not speaking up against it or not helping the poor and defenceless. That is what Jesus will want. |

How come nobody is here clamouring freedom of speech because this scenario it is a pastor who arrested a journalist. But if it was the government who does, pop will start shouting freedom of expression, islamization of the country. My people why? |
