Everything goes up in flames... the grass, crops, everthing... including buildings with tall grasses sourrounding them.

Imagine if you had the yams you harvested heaped somewhere on your farm as is usually the custom... They'll all be burnt up!

Then they return a few weeks after to graze, hoping to find fresh grass for their catle.

Pls study the pictures carefully, you will see the burnt based of only one isolated tree while the grass in the surrounding background of the compound is quite clearly untouched; how then can the above modus operandi you just explained apply to this case?

I am also beginning to doubt the credibility of this story; this furthermore informed by the unwillingness of the alleged victim to discuss the damage with the police along with leader of the Fulani community (apparently for possible compensation) and secondly the reported inter-marriage between the locals and the Fulani suggest to me a peaceful co-existence - which may not necessarily sit well with the OP/his alleged friend; hence this seemingly concocted story.

All we can do here is only to judge based on the evidence provided and nothing else; likewise, if you want us to believe your story then you must provide convincing evidence otherwise forget it - after all, we still can remember how some miscreants were uploading pictures of Rwandan genocide and faking it as victims of the southern Kaduna crisis or the likes of Maikori who were peddling completely falsified non existent killings and attributing it to herdsmen.
