All else being equal, it should. The country's foreign reserve has hit 31 billion USD, the price of crude is on the increase and so is the output. The CBN can afford to pump more Dollars into circulation

Collecting dollars from your reserve and throwing it at the exchange rate to shore up the naira remains an articificial solution to the deep problem.

For how long will you keep throwing dollars at the problem, 2 years? 5 years?, 10 years?

All things being equal nothing will stop the naira from becoming 800/1$ by 2019. We may prefer to deodorize the situation and deceive ourselves but this is just reality.
