The Senate are not fighting President Buhari.

They're fighting the cabal that have seized power.

Not only on this issue, as Prof Itse Sagay had since become a compete "wash out" that cannot see any wrong in whatever Buhari, his government and APC does?!

Anyone that has gotten to that stage cannot be relied upon for anything that requires objectivity, especially as their sense of fairness has been completely blighted by jaundiced subjectivity!!!

Too bad for a supposed Professor of Law!

Sagay is not helping this government at all with his volatile utterances.

He's part of those praise singers Sanusi accused of being Buhari undoing.

He is not bound to honor the invitation... Senate should use their time constructively to make laws that will help the people they are representing...

Moreover, the Nigerian constitution needs lot of work and i think they should focus on that wink

Why senate invited Sagay Leke Baiyewu, Abuja The Senate has asked the Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), to name the persons with questionable character in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
The lawmakers, who took turns to take a swipe at Sagay at the plenary on Wednesday, berated the Law scholar for using derogatory words on the Senate.
While raising a point of order, the Deputy Majority Leader, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, made reference to Sagay’s comments in reaction to the protest by the Senate against the retention of Mr Ibrahim Magu as the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission despite the rejection of his nomination by the lawmakers. Several senators, at the plenary on Tuesday, spoke against the consideration of a letter from the Presidency requesting legislative approval for the nomination of 27 Resident Electoral Commissioners for the Independent National Electoral Commission. They insisted that the process be abandoned until Magu was removed. Na’Allah, on Wednesday, quoted Sagay’s comment in the Wednesday edition of The PUNCH, where he said what the Senate did on the RECs was “childish and irresponsible.” The lawmaker also criticised Sagay for saying the Senate was filled with people of questionable character, who put their personal interest ahead of that of the nation. Na’Allah urged the Senate to ask Sagay to appear before the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions and name the lawmakers he was referring to. President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, who presided over the plenary, referred Na’Allah’s petition to the panel, which was mandated to report back in four weeks.

More drama unfolds I wonder where this will lead to.
The funny thing is that majority of the senators are apshit while the federal govt belongs to same apshit .so whats the problem?
Where are those who voted APC ?

You are all frauds
that is what you get when you get to power through media terrorism.

Politics in Nigeria is about loyalty to one's employer, patriotism to our country has long been eroded. To Sagay, Buhari is always right no matter what, To Melaye, Saraki is the next thing after God. And to the gullible followers, ethnic affiliation and our political leaning remains a cog in the wheel of our objectivity.

Sagay is a private citizen, no matter how stupid his comments are, once they are not treasonous or inflammatory enough to cause ethnic distrust thereby promoting national disharmony, he's entitled to them.

Though their exist a check and balances between Executives and Legislatures, but the too must worked together in peace ,harmony and respect .....The office of Presidency should be respected and it is not everything that must be made public or lead to confrontation.

Prof Sagay is saying the plain and obvious truth, DOESNT MATTER WHOSE OX IS GORED.

We Nigerians ought to criticize the legislature for not doing their Jobs and acting irresponsibly. LETS STOP SPEAKING AGAINST THE EXECUTIVE ONLY....FACE THE SENATE!!!

I feel embarrassed whenever i read people supporting this senate.
They are set of corrupt fellow, they prepare and approve their budget by themselves, they share committee chairmanship based juicy or not juicy, no one ratifies their salary and expenses. These guys take home for a month is more than my annual pay x10. They have free assess to everything in life. Sincerely speaking i am bitter, sad and angry.
