Infinix Hot Note X551 is a beautifully designed smartphone that is bigger, slimmer, brighter, and longer than the earlier models of Infinix phones.

It was announced in January 2015 and features 5.5 inch HD display for a better visual experience when viewing videos, pictures or playing games.

The android phone which is equipped with dual SIM ports runs on Android version 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

The dual SIM lets you enjoy cheap calls and data rates from different network providers. To allow for enough space, the SIM ports accommodate microSIM.


Display & Battery

With the 5.5 inch capacitive display, you can easily navigate different applications on the phone. The rich colour and contrast make images appear in excellent quality with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixel.

The device has a sleek metallic finish. Despite its large battery size, it is slim and light with thickness and weight of 8.9mm and 172g respectively. The dual SIM smartphone is available in champagne gold and grey colors and has a dimension of 156 x 77 x 8.9 mm.

You can catch as much fun as you desire with the Infinix Hot Note which has a long lasting battery life. The manufactures claim the device has a 2-day battery life.

The non removable battery gives you a battery life usage of up to 40 hours of music playback, 21 hours of talk time on 3G, 8 hours of video playback, and 6.3 hours of internet surfing.

In addition to this, the smartphone offers a whopping 600 hours of standby time. Long battery life is a feature I so much desire in smartphones, don’t know about you.

The 4000mAh lithium polymer battery offers a 7-hour usage when charged for only 15 minutes. The fast charging technology lets your device attain 100% charge in 50 minutes making the time you separate with your phone shorter.

Camera & Processor
The rear 8MP camera enables you to take captivating photos. The camera is equipped with OV8865 image sensor to give a high performance. The camera also allows you to capture HD videos at 30fps.


Infinix Hot Note also features a front camera of 2MP which supports 75 degrees wide angle shooting for cool selfies with family and friends.


The dual SIM smartphone is powered by a Mediatek Octa-Core 1.4GHz chipset which provides easy use of the phone for browsing, videos, and gaming in high resolution.

This is a pretty impressive budget phone, but unfortunately a lot of customers are experiencing problems which are ruining their Infinix experience.

Infinix Hot 2 is a fairly new AndroidOne phone that has been considered “fake” or “problematic”. It is not a fake phone and is very much real. It does have a few problems, but so does any other phone; no phone is perfect. These problems can be solved. The phone was released in August 2015 and has a 5 inch display. When some people make calls on their phones they like for their sim cards to ask first. This is, yet again, a very simple fix. No, do not go to the google play store for this one.

Solution: Go to your Settings and find the Sim Cards section.

Settings -> Sim Card -> Calls -> “Always Ask”

Problem 6: I can’t change my ringtone to the song of my choosing.

Solution: All you need to do in this case is use the ES File Explorer you downloaded to find the song and then set it as your ringtone.

Problem 7. My phone doesn’t have HSDPA.

Solution: It actually does. If you go to settings and click on the ‘about’ section you will see it, but it won’t appear on your status bar unless you download Xposed Framework and Gravity Box and then manually select the H+ feature to appear on our status bar.

Problem 8: After Upgrading my contacts are now just displayed as numbers.

Solution: If your call log or phone book is just displaying numbers without names ten there is a simple solution. All you have to do is go to settings, click on accounts and head to Google. Click the top right menu and remove your account. You should then be able to add your account again and your problem should be fixed.

Problem 9: I no longer see my 2nd Sim as an option when making a call.

Solution: If you are experiencing this issue all you need to do is head to the options menu located on the top right of your screen, click on settings, choose ‘calling accounts’ and select ‘ask first’. You should now be able to set it up so both your SIM cards are displayed.

Wasn’t That Easy?

The Inifinix Hot 2 is a fairly good phone, aside from the few flaws. Not every phone comes flawless, so it definitely isn’t abnormal. These main problems are so simple to solve, so I hope it helps you enjoy your new phone.

I'm actually in love with the dual SIM package... no worries to get another phone

This phone is great. I have heard several reports on it. No one gave a bad report

Infinix Hot note X551 is a very very good phone. But it does not charge 0 to100% in 50 minutes. I hate lies.

I've used 4 of this same type of phone as backup phones at different times in the past.

I've used the 1Gb RAM version, also the 2Gb Ram version, and lastly the 32GB Internal memory version.

Each of them takes a minimum of 1 hour 50 minutes to charge on original infinix fast charger. That is fast enough as compared with other phones.

But to claim 50 minutes charging time is totally false.

I've used 4 of this same type of phone as backup phones at different times in the past.

I've used the 1Gb RAM version, also the 2Gb Ram version, and lastly the 32GB Internal memory version.

Each of them takes a minimum of 1 hour 50 minutes to charge on original infinix fast charger. That is fast enough as compared with other phones.

But to claim 50 minutes charging time is totally false.
