In a swift reaction to debunk claim of maltreating a corps member, the EKiti state NYSC has issued out a REJOINDER to counter claim that NYSC OFFICIAL BRUTALIZE A CORPER IN EKITI FOR NOT WEARING HER JACKET
as false:

Angel Eluna is unkown to NYSC Ekiti State. I wish our young Nigerians will be truthful and bold enough to narrate issues as they really are and put their real names on such narrations.
The real corps member involved in this matter is CONFIDENCE AZUBUIKE (EK/16B/2389).
Confidence was not molested by any official of NYSC Ekiti State. [b]Rather it was the other way round. Confidence in her statement to the State Coordinator said she held the official’s shirt by his collar because she did not know he was an official. She quickly released him when the Local Government Inspector introduced himself. [/b]Investigation into the incident which required the call for the corps member’s file has revealed a whole lot about who Confidence is.
One wonders the source of Confidence’s confidence in being so unruly. You need to see what she wore for Community Development Service. Her cap was wrong, White T-Shirt was something else, her canvas was Pink, Khakhi Jacket tied round her waist. Above all, she refused to be corrected and would rather fight the NYSC official.
Let it be known that the reddish patch on her arm was caused by the long chain of her handbag strap. It was as she held the officer’s shirt that the bag strap pressed on her arm leaving the reddish spot because she is fair. This is the Account of an individual that witnessed the incident.
NYSC Ekiti is coordinated by a mother who will not allow any of her corps members to be maltreated by anybody. However,

Although the official statement from NYSC looks patchy, I knew there was more to that story than what we heard yesterday. Most Corp members especially, the females from rich homes become unduly rude to officials at the slightest opportunity as if they were forced to serve.

Why would Confidence tarnish image of NYSC in public? So response to a public issue should be private? I wish she is given appropriate punishment

-It is highly impossible for a corp member not to know his LGI.
- d corp member has been intimidated to accept d adulterated tale as true or risk extension.
- corp members are not alowed to grant media interview, so she would never tell her story, but live in pain.
- without being provoke no sane person would grab another by the colar, she must have done that in self defence for survival when d beating was severe.
Nigerians should grow up and look into a story from dif angles.
D nysc's side of d story is a lie of d century for any person who have served.

No matter how she dressed, the NYSC official had no right to use any leather means of correction. The NYSC bye law has already stated the penalty for her dressing misbehaviour. This rejoinder is a blatant lie. For as many that has passed through the NYSC here, u will agree with me that most time, some NYSC officials do more than they are allowed, constantly threatening and even maltreating corp members for even the tiniest issue.

I'm not an olodo...The wound I saw couldn't have been made by the chain size I see on that bag in the picture. In fact, nobody can inflict herself wth dat kind of wound squeezing anything. That's what pain is for. It wasn't just a bruise. Keep this story for those who believe.

I'm a Corp member, NYSC officials hardly maltreats a Corp member.
NYSC khaki pants and shirts are sewn in such a way that it can accommodate u [one size fits all ], no matter how big u re.
It's only in rare cases that the khakis don't size corp members.
At times, u only hv CDS days and clearance days to put on the uniform. Which means u hv all other days for ur fashion parade.

I'm a Corp member, about to pass out [April 7th ], I was never harassed, molested or punished by any nysc official from time of camping till nw.
Just obey the simple rules and u re good 2go.
