Get your facts right PAYE is deducted at source by the employer which is the Federal Govt thru the Federal Inland Revenue Service and this same PAYE tax is shared amongst the state so which PAYE is a state owned revenue service looking for in a Federal university ..

Why did they refused to pay from 2007-2011, if ur claim is right? That should tell u that they have been remitting it to the state and still doing so till date. And also before a court order could be given, they must have gone through the right process.

Somebody must be peeing in pants by now. cos that money go don enter voice mail Nigeria's name should be changed to corruption since citadel of learning has turned into citadel of sorting and stealing.

Probably money would have been embezzled, my point is these are federal workers ,did BIR tale llllll its time to check that the tax payment was not remitted to FBIR and just requedt for the reclassification of the amount into state funds

The state is just bleeped up,no development and improvement in the lives if the locals, very backward state

Only the BIRS can answer that question. Na dem sabi what took them so long to detect that amount from a prominent government parastatal. Its not that they have too many business to handle in the state. As for me its a gross incompetency on the part of BIRS.

My point exactly, if tax audit was conducted and it was discovered that remittance was not made by the school,there would have been correspondences telling them to do the needful you don't just come in 2017 and seal this institution, what SLsteps has BIRS taken to ensure closure,so BIRS can confirm that 2012-2016 PAYE was remitted to the state, we should be articulate when we report situations to give clarity to the populace

Hmmm, The annoying thing here now is that after collecting such huge amount they won't do anything with it.............Ortom is just the wrongest thing to have happened to Benue people.

by law, your tax is payable to the government of the state you work in irrespective of whether or not your establishment is state, federal government or privately owned.....so yes! BIRS has the right to seal off the Federal university.

The worse thing is that, even after collecting those monies, our Benue elite will still on a round table to share and eat fish on it!!!
