I guess you can. I read somewhere that devices bigger than 16cm will not be allowed.

Turkish Airline

When you transited at Istanbul, was there a US CBP or pre-screening there? My cousin just got his visit visa and we have been looking for cheap flights, but the gory stories of CBP sending people back from transit countries worries us. He is headed for Atlanta.
What is your advice? Thanks

Yes there is, that's my fear too. But just make sure what ever he filled in the application form for the visa is what he sticks to when asked questions. He mustn't say different things.

Are you sure there is pre-screening facility at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul Turkey...

I won't call what we have in Istanbul as a US CBP Pre screening. Its a connecting flight. Passport was checked but no questions asked. You will be scanned all all ur hand carry checked. So i do advice you checked in all your luggage at MMI. Phone and shoes. That's all.
Are they Americans, I think so.
If any question is asked stick to your primary story.

I used my Nigeria master card on bookings. Com but mind you when you get here ur card won't work. You will have to pay with cash. Still have my money in my fist bank account. Paying by cash really set me back by hundreds of dollars. So come prepared

Laptops and cameras are allowed..its just that u cant carry them in as hand luggage again..it has to be checked in with your baggs...especially if u will be having a connecting flight through any of Arabs countries listed by the US govt.

Please don't give anybody info on your visa page. All the agent needs is your full names, passport number, Destination and date of travelling and return.

you should have ask what he/she needsthat for?

Good morning house! Got into Florida yesterday morning through emirates flight. Entry into the state wasn't stressful.
After having my passport scanned, had to line up to meet with a cbp officer....
My interaction with the cbp officer:
Cbp: hello, good morning
Me: good morning
Cbp: how are you doing today?
Me: I'm doing good but very tired from the 15 hour flight from Dubai
Cbp: so sorry about that ma'am.... Can I have your passport and declaration form?
Me: (passes both to him)
Cbp: what do you do ma'am?
Me: I'm a bla bla bla
Cbp: how long do you plan to stay in Florida?
Me: 16 days
Cbp: okay... How much do you have with you?
Me: $1200
Cbp: (smiling) are you sure you have up to that with you? Just in case they want to confirm at the secondary inspection....
Me: yes I have exactly that with me
Cbp: okay ma'am, hope you're planning on visiting Disney World?
Me: (smiling too) oh yes... The hotel I'll be staying at, provides a shuttle to several tourist sites.
Cbp: okay ma'am (smiles as he stamps 6 months on my passport) have a lovely vacation.
Me: thank you, have a lovely day

Proceeding to pick up my checked in luggage and then straight to secondary inspection...
Cbp2: good morning ma'am
Me: good morning
Cbp2: do you have laptops or digital camera in your luggage?
Me: no.... I have just my cell phone with me
Cbp2: okay....any agricultural produce?
Me: not at all
Cbp2: alright ma'am just scan your luggage over there and you are good to go.
Me: (place my luggage on the scanner) then pick them up at the other end.
Cbp2: have a lovely day ma'am
Me: you too... (heading out into Florida fresh air) grin cheesy
All in all, no stress apart from the long queue.... Already enjoying my holiday here.

Cerelac and Milo are easily available in the US. I'll advise you not to travel with such since it may raise suspicions and put you under the microscope.#1 suspicion... drug trafficking. .. cocaine to be precise.
@ topic..... routine questions as so many said.... if you begin to fumble for answers. .. you'll have problem...or if you're saying a different thing at the POE than what you said at the Visa office. From my experience.... they try to clear you as fast as they can.
As long as her hands are clean, nothing to fear. I carried baby food (sma gold milk)and sterilized water in a feeding bottle sef when i travelled with my infant . Of course they paid much attention to the water and the food. Nothing to be worried about if your hands are clean.you just cant shop the same day you arrive.

Mr. Seyewest,

I plan to be in Florida soon with my kids and husband on vacation but we also want to travel through America to see the country. What do you think about coming in through JFK or Chicago depending on available flight then take a bus like Greyhound to Orlando. Is there any suggestion you can give us.

Thanks for doing a good job.
