How To Own A Plantain, Banana and Ugu Cooperative Farm This Season
Farmmoney Cooperative is giving its members, prospective investors and the general public an opportunity to invest and own lucrative farms through our Cropland and cooperative farming investment initiative.
The farms located in Orowa, Edo state is a 1000 hectares farmland fully owned and managed by Cropland Agro Industrial Park under our cooperative farming initiative.
HOW IT WORKS
The farm operations from cultivation to harvest is handled by Cropland Agro Industrial Park. Investors decide whether to receive produce at the end of harvest or have Cropland Agro Industrial Park buy back the produce or sell at quality market rate and offer them monetary return on investment.
Farmer, Investors and the general public invest and fund a minimum 1 hectare farmland which is 100% managed by Cropland Agro Industrial Park. operations on the farm from soil analysis, development, planting, harvest and Sorting is 100% handled Cropland Agro Industrial Park using best and good agricultural practices (GAP) – giving rise to optimum yield. Produce or agreed return is handed to the investor.
All farms are fully secured, fully insured and managed by Cropland Agro Industrial Park.
The three major crops being farmed this season are; Plantain, Banana and UguVegetable.
WHY PLANTAIN, BANANA AND UGU VEGETABLE
• It is a crop with a local market and high export potential and growing international market demand.
• Huge source of Foreign Exchange (FX) for Nigeria
• Excellent return on investment
• Impressive growth potentials and a sustained growing international demand
• It is a short term growth crop unlike cocoa, Cashew and Oil Palm
• One of the cheapest crops in terms of per hectare cultivation cost
• Ability to grow all year round under irrigation
PLANTAIN COST PER HECTARE
1st Year of Investment: N1,200,000 (Includes cultivation fee, Labour fee which covers; soil testing, fertilization, land clearing, security)
From 2nd Year: Cost is expected to be down almost 50% given that activities such as clearing, farm preparation and others are not expected to be repeated. Hence profitability is expected to rise and grow higher from 2nd year.
EXPECTED GROSS REVENUE
N1,400,000 per hectare
BANANA COST PER HECTARE
1st Year of Investment: N1,550,000 (Includes cultivation fee, Labour fee which covers; soil testing, fertilization, land clearing, security)
From 2nd Year: Cost is expected to be down almost 50% given that activities such as clearing, farm preparation and others are not expected to be repeated. Hence profitability is expected to rise and grow higher from 2nd year.
EXPECTED GROSS REVENUE
N2,800,000 per hectare

• Oil Palm
• Coconut
PROCEDURE FOR SUBSCRIPTION & INVESTMENT
1. Fill The Farm Allocation / Investment Application Form
2. Pay the application fee of N1,000 (This also entitles you to be a member of the Farmmoney Cooperative Society)
3. Fund the number of hectare(s) to be developed. Installment plans are available and accepted; 50% deposit, a balance of 50% by first week of September.
4. Sign an investment agreement /MOU.

You are not been realistic. According to you minimum of 10 acre for a minimum of 30 years. And you are still limited to what you can plant on the said land. When you guys are ready am still interested

Does one have access to tractors and other mechanized equipments?

The minimum of 30years were for the first 5 applicants to Visit the farmland and make payment. While other applicants can aquire for a minimum of 25years
