Why give scholarship's you can't redeem? I nearly died last year simply because I anticipated the payment.

In terms of scholarship, TOTAL is the worst of them all.

All others pay periodically, except them. MTN pays in December, Chevron in September, Addax in October, Shell 3rd week in July but TOTAL you get the money when you get the money. and a lot of times you never do.

Very disheartening to see that greed has been made king in want is supposed to be a humanitarian and social responsibility. And this money is not up to what they use in organising end of the year party trust me, I very sure if what I'm saying.

They first confuse scholars with things like DW and JV divisions. Just pay people!

If it is to go and organize OML58 football tournament that one no dey shake. But pay scholars wahala.

Mr Aniefiok, scholars nationwide are highly unhappy with you.

Mr Nicholas Terraz pls pay more attention to scholars eh? There is almost nothing worse than false hope.

It pains me when celebrities are paid huge amount of money just to represent a brand. Nigeria is failing not because we don't have the capable people in the country but because we don't set our priorities straight.

Imagine all this "brand ambassador" thing, to me i believe its a waste of resources. We celebrate entertainment too much in the country than we celebrate the ones who have been distinct in their academic fields. No wonder the best graduating student in a faculty or institution can be given 50,000 and a winner of big brother be given 25million naira.

No wonder our young ones no longer see reason to go to school or excel in academic studies and they just want to go into entertainment. I wonder if we all go into entertainment since thats where the money is then who will be the minister of science, who will handle other academic fields needed for the growth of the nation since money is very important.


I believe its high time Nigeria got its priorities right and straight.

Bros, entertainers are paid serious money all over the world. Companies exist to make profit so they will spend their money in areas that will bring them profit.

They came to my school(Uniuyo) to do verification last week I just hope they will pay cos I have just been paid once and still being owed 3 sessions.

Dear beneficiaries of Total National Merit Scholarship, I appreciate your indefatigable spirit. Since I published this story in New Telegraph on Tuesday, I have been inundated with calls from other beneficiaries and Total management. I am optimistic solution is in sight. However, rather than individuals from various universities sending their details to me, please, I will expect we appoint coordinators in each higher institution, who will help collate the list of the affected persons with their relevant details. This is my request to you, so that we can quicken the process of getting you paid. We are happy that we have confronted them with facts and figure, so they are asking for more names.
Dont say they should know those on their list, let's challenge them once again. Pls, I need self-appointed coordinators from each university pls. Thanks for the understanding.

same with FEDRAL SHOLARSHIP BOARD 2014 National awardees. they only paid twice. only God knows if tgey will still pay the balance

Won this scholarship in 2012, even helped them get the contact of the Dean students affairs in my school (FUTO), however, they never paid me a dime. when I complained, and even went to Lagos to try and get a seat down, the lady in charge scolded me from the gate through the security phone. that was how I just forgot about the whole scholarship. its really sad that 7 years on this issue is still ongoing.

pls let the federal government come to the aid of these helpless students.

I think those in charge are trying to victimize the affected beneficiaries as they initially promised to make payment by march only for them to inform one of us via phone that is no more march but June.this new date came up after the public notice created..so am pleading whoever that has the connection to help us should pls do as we can't afford to lose this money at this economically critical time.

We speak of change daily but hardly take any steps to ensure it does happen.
