We want changes... Yet the little innovations that are meant to help us are now constantly abused... Does any of you know how much it takes for a guy to get an original product from a distant state!?... Probably a quarter of what you want to use to buy that product. But some one risks his life to get you that product at your door step and you murder him. We are not the only African country using such, uber, online shopping are common even Kenya is not new to it. People seem to forget that most myths or perception about America today were crafted since the 1930's through HOLLYWOOD. Most people are drawn to what they watch on tv. While developed societies are into tv programs that stimulate critical thinking, our movies is all about some ignorant witch doctor disappearing and reappearing to make someone rich or cast a spell on another, or a pastor praying to cure a disease that the ill equipped hospitals or sub standard facilities, unprofessional and poorly trained medical staff operate and don't have a clue to diagnose and effectively treat. Please, until the likes of Kanayo O. Kanayo, Yul Edochie and co stop acting ritual money themes in movies, and other themes glorying kidnaping and extortion, robbery and violence, these things won't stop. We all know the average Nigerian is very emotional and most times can't tell the difference between real life and fiction.. maybe they can tell the difference but simply don't want to embrace it. 2. How can anyone possess the moral compass and leverage to scold these 2 when the likes of IBB, Abacha clan, Abdulsalami, Tinubu, Amaechi, Nyarko, Ibori, Atiku and the rest roam our street never being tried and /convicted of their financial crimes against the state? When NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW, and people (the masses and the wealthy) are tried and convicted for their crimes, it serves as a deterrent to potential criminals. When the laws are seen to be administered with punitive repercussions to only a segment of the population, it makes those who feel they are the victims of these laws to become more brazen! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Atyms when i think abt hw sophisticated some criminals think, i wonder how they got into crime in the first instance. See the logic here, they traveled dwn frm benin to book an uber cab in lagos, diverted the trip to a secluded street and strangled the driver, drove the car back to benin to be sold off. Why can't they put all the effort into biz wc is legit even if na barber or cobler, i tell u, wt their tenacity in crime they would hv made it big in biz. |
