bigrovar:ECHO works but you have to hack it for it to tell the time correctely - I have both google home and Echo and Google home is better for andoid chromecast ( media applications) Echo is good with Harmony , Hue and yeelight .and samsung hub USE a NAS for data . personally I use Synology 2 bay 4 TB x 2 (Raid 1) . It has it's own server for plex. I also use XBMC but prefer plex as it syncs to tablet and xbox al the watched status and has better integration - ( but you have to pay a yearly subscription) XBMC is good for direct streaming |

I am Looking for a 40 AMP 48 V DC 3 phase( 440 V) supplied battery charger Ideally should have only taper charging . Anybody has encountered one in Nigeria or direct to me to someone who can build one ? - This is to ensure the battery charger loads my generator evenly Alternatively 3 identical chargers rated to work in parallel with 10 to 15 amps rating for 48 V DC wbr Anil |

auxanosolar:Do u fix Auxano inverters? I have a 2kva Auxano that is faulty 2months after installation for a client. He aknowledges, Its actually his fault. Most guys can't fix it, suggesting using a different board n reconfiguration of the inverter. |

2baga:LED bulbs from Philips ( e27 Base) are available in Emab Plaza at 1800 NGN each for 6 or 9 w ( 40 and 60 watt equivalent) . The shop is near the gate on right side. I forgot the name. Light output good but not same CRI as Hue but almost matches the concentration mode color |

auxanosolar:Not like we don't want to buy Nigerian. Just as always marketing and presentation of most Nigerian companies are just abysmal. You can imagine going to auxano website and not a single information on price details or specification on their product. All you have there are pictures sekena. How can I buy an inverter without having detailed knowledge on its features, specifications etc. No sales outlet no price no dealership no nothing. Its takes more than appealing to patriotic favor to win anyone here. You have to do more with information on what u produce |

You're absolutely right Bigrovar. Same thing with our online malls. Same picture duplicated 3 times, no specs, nothing. You're expected to make a purchase decision after admiring the pics... na wa o! |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dapsyra(m): 6:43pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
babaegun:Option 1 is the way to go. In option 1, equal amount of current pass through all for batteries during charge or discharge. The batteries should stay balanced without costly battery balancer Option on run at a lower current and higher voltage than option 2, this allow you to use smaller gauge cable, lower amperage circuit breaker Cable loss is smaller with option 1 Option 1 is simply simple, straight forward and easy |

babaegun:Check wat dapsyra said above but the main determinant is your inverter, Is your inverter 24v or 48v? The higher the system voltage, the more stable and (on the long run) more economical as well better room for expansion. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by DMerciful(m): 7:59pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
Go with series babaegun: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ferdiwar: 10:27pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
babaegun:It all depends on the input of your inverter. A 48v battery bank won't work with a 24v inverter and vise versa |

@dapsyra, DMerciful, Konnektions146, Ferdiwar and everyone. Thanks all. My Inverter is 24V. Planning to upgrade to a 48V soon hence the reason for the diagrams. I think i will go with the serial-parallel for now and change to series when i upgrade the Inverter. Hope that will work? NB: I stumbled on a link with facts and figures - http://www.smartgauge.co.uk/batt_con.html which will make a good read for forum members. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ferdiwar: 7:54am On Apr 15, 2017 |
babaegun:Since your current inverter is a 24v system you are to go/stick with the series/parallel connection till you upgrade your inverter to a 48v system then you can change your battery configuration to a series connection. ![]() |

so I love me some home automation
and i have had some Phillips Hue lighting in the house, all devices in my Home theater setup are controlled using just a single remote-- The Logitec Harmony elite and all these devices can be controlled via voice with Alexa on amazon echo dot, pretty neat and works for the TP link switch and smart plugs too. I hv 10 Terabytes of Movies, TV series and Anime all in HD and running perfectly on the media server 24/7 with the beautiful interface of PLEX (guys u need to check it out, its simply your own NETFLIX @ home) For internet i use the NTEL unlimited package so everything is always ONLINE... I share my home wifi for my neighbors and they can watch movies on their phones and tablets as the media server can comfortably handle multiple media streams at once without issues. All these are possible because the sun gives me free Energy!
