Those blades are like Commodus Vs Maximus in the Gladiator movie. The only difference is these blades will not hit each other which even makes it more scary.

The helicopter is called “Kaman K-Max” and it is used to haul heavy items using long cables. Its slim body helps to improve the pilot’s visibility.

Let’s know what you think about the Kaman K-Max after you’ve seen the video below..

Its like one helicopter with two blades making it stronger and able to pull a heavy payload

See innovation, and Nigeria is still celebrating glorified keke poorly crafted in aeroplane shape....

I don't think the timing machine can fail mid air, even if it does I don't think it will pose any danger as long as the blades keep spinning at the same speed. Also, if it actually makes use of any timer at all then it will only need it at start up.

It might not necessarily be a timing mechanism....it could be a mesh gear system....in which case no problems what so ever

Every helicopter need to counter the forward propelling torque by using the tail rotor. The tail rotor will cancel the forward and the backward torque on the helicopter (just like equilibrium).

However in order not to use the tail rotor this design is used, the blades are inclined at an angle of 45 degree to each other, thus canceling out the forward and backward torque on the helicopter, hence ensuring stability.

Am not a mechanical engineer just a computer scientist perhaps I missed somethings. The mech engineers can explain better.

A worst case scenario must always be considered for any project.

I guess that's why there is no tail rotor.. hmm

Rotors are slightly tilted and rotate in opposing directions.

Horizontal vectors are equal from both rotors and cancel out.

Interesting design. A bit dizzying, sha.

The opposing rotation is most important. You just about nailed it.

It can't fail, me thinks it's backed up by identical magnetic(probably electro-) poles(like N-N and S-S poles)

So that guy working around there is feeling like what?
I can do better than him.
So why did they design it to move in such directions? So make it fly faster or to show us they can do it?
Abeg I dey come.

grin
The direction of the blades are designed to blow upwards rather than blowing every freaking shit downwards....guess that's why the guy was roaming, unlike other choppers you cant walk freely around them.
