Older peugeot vehicles (504,505,404) are sturdy and almost indestructible. The newer peugeot cars are really nice once you get to understand that owning a peugeot, is not like owning a regular car, you have to acquire a great deal of maintenance knowledge, the vehicle has very little tolerance for mechanical or electrical abuse, Basically you would have to learn a lot of DIY and find a special peugeot mechanic, if you want to keep your vehicle on the road at all times.

Diesel is readily available in nigeria, unfortunately there is a lot of contaminated diesel and peugeot does not tolerate anything out of specification. You would have to learn a lot of DIY to ensure you don't get stuck on the road If this happens.

Most of the peugeot boxer vehicle that are used in transporting agricultural products from the north to the south are diesel powered, getting to find who services their engine should not be a problem.

Not every one shares the sentiment of owning a modern peugeot and a diesel at that parts will be a problem, you would have to familiarize ur self with ordering for parts online.

If I needed a 7/8 seater vehicle, for regular travel, I would buy a vehicle with very common parts, and a vehicle that most mechanics are familiar with.

Start with a smaller engine size. 1.8liter is a nice start

I think you should check user reviews, walk up to a dealership and sit in each one. If allowed not a bad idea to take each vehicle for a spin.

Happy Easter Gazzuzz

My peugeot D8 had a timing belt cut and I had to change the top cylinder but that brought a lot of other issues.

Firstly, I realised the top is different from mine as the timing belt cover didnt match. The Kazeem alluded to that saying mine was 3 pins but the one he put is one pin but couldnt tell me the pros and cons. What does that mean? But the car picks easily.

I started having hard starting. I have to crank the car then pump the trutle for a while before the car starts. The Kazeem said it could be ECU huh

I started hearing a sound at the timing belt compartment and opened to observe the adjuster slightly wobbling, the Kazeem no see anything grin

I tried scanning the car but the pp2000 no dey see anything. Which kind wahala be this?

This is aside the black smoke and illuminated checklight which I am at a loss at what to do since pp2000 no fit communicate with the the ecu. The black smoke pre-dates the timing belt cut.

Wetin I go do Gazzuzz? My this plenty problem no pursue you from the thread biko grin

Yes. Very very very possible. I've carried out an update of that W211 before.

The c300 has the smaller engine amongst the trio, but the best handling, followed by the TLX '15 which us the fastest, ES350 is a bloated Camry/Avalon, Its the biggest. The best comparison would had been the C350, TLX, IS350. Reason is the Benz and acura are compact sports sedans, while the ES is a midsized (almost full sized) family cruiser. Benz is RWD or AWD (4matic), the acura and Lexus are Either FWD or AWD in the acura (sh-AWD).

Lexus had the most comfy seats of the trio plus its got cooled and heated seats.

Peugeot has very little tolerance for electrical or mechanical work done wrong.

If you think you have a wrong head cylinder installed, try and get another cylinder that is an exact match with yours.

Scanning a D8 with pp2000 can only be done using an original, 99per in the nigerian market are clones.

Most importantly get a new peugeot mechanic.

What could make the p/s light on a 2007 rav4 come on when the car is in park but clears when in drive gear.
