No less than seven individuals have been affirmed dead and seven hospitalized when a watercraft conveying 150 travelers from Ngaski Local Govt Area of Kebbi State who were coming back from Malali Market hit a branch of tree and inverted along River Niger.

Affirming the occurrence on Saturday, the Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) accountable for Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara State, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad said that endeavors were on going amongst anglers and the Nigerian Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) to save the missing travelers.

When we got insight of the accident, we put a call to NIWA to help protect the missing travelers. Every one of the general population on board were missing, yet as save and hunt proceed with wide and profound of the stream strengthened, 14 individuals have been found; seven passed on and seven have been taking to Ngaski Hospital.” he said.
