In Iboland, there is a strong aversion to carrying your natural hair and nursing your child.
Very strong aversion.

You have to make the hair before giving birth, or immediately after birth.

Everyone, both educated and non-educated warned me against using Aka-Omugwo (Baby Nursing Hands) to touch my natural hair, that it is one sure way to lose your hair fast!

I didn't even want to confirm whether it's superstition or not, I went to plait one kyn weaving then, cos with the way I was impatient pre-partum, I fit slap person wey waste too much time on my hair.

A nursing mother once plaited my hair and i lost a lot of hair. People around me said it is because the woman is a nursing mother. That i should avoid my hair been plaited by a nursing mother.

Lol.. for my son, I was all over the place with all kinds of tinned/packet foods; Heinz, cow and gate, aptamil, cerelac etc

For my daughter, I decided to go organic when I saw links that gave different ideas on food preps and you know what? The diff is really clear btw my son and my daughter.

It's pretty easy I must tell you cos I'm one person dat sees all these as stress but somehow, I'm just enjoying it.

Buy all the veggies (carrots, potatoes, peas). Boil and blend then store in your freezer. Buy quarker oats, blend for her. If you can't make pap, August secrets sells very good pap.

It's also good to introduce veggies to children early. I noticed my daughter never had po.op issues unlike my son . So she's Team Organic Food + Team Natural hair...lol

Thanks you ma. I have done the pureed banana twice or so in his pap.he didnt eat it well but can eat it alone. he eats patotoes and fish very well too.

what i noticed is that,he prefers adult food more. he loves breast milk so dearly but can leave it at the sight of garri with any kind of soup.

Yes o, homemade all the way.
We make our oat into swallow and he takes it with any soup on the menu. That's his best meal!
At 7 months I also introduced beans and plantain porridge.

It's a lot easier if you have good power supply as you can prep the foods and store in the freezer. I make quantity of about a week, put in ice cube trays and freeze and put in labelled Ziploc bags. Then you just mix your combo.... Easier that way for working mom's.

Night eating is the chief culprit of big belle. but if you starve at Night, how will the breast be full in the morning for abay to get good stuff from.

I don't know if it's safe to recommend exercises now.

As an EBF mom, you are still eating for two, maybe extra sef.

Please just be patient with yourself.

It took 9 months to arrive here.

when you wean baby, you can attck the big belle fire for fire. ;
For now, just keep doing what you can.

You can blend at home using your dry mill.

To make it, mix with water and put on the fire. Allow to cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add banana or apple to sweeten with plenty milk.

You can also make dates syrup and use as sweetener for babies. Buy dates (dabino), wash, remove the seed and blend it smooth. U can add to their meals

I got a chinco pump too (kinyo) and it's been serving me fine since my Medela packed up. But mine sef was quite expensive (33k or so), this is too cheap so it looks too good to be true. That's just my thoughts sha, you might be lucky
