Prince Deji Adeyanju, the former new media director to PDP and convener of the #NoToSecretTrial for Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested, he was arrested today while trying to gather like minds to join in the proposed peaceful protest/rally slated for today.

As he rightly opined via his personal facebook handler, he wrote not quite long, that about 300 policemen haVe barricaded the unity square, proposed venue for the protest.

But honestly, there's a need for an opposition party in any democratic system, the way APC is silencing its opposition is uncalled for, it looks more like forcing themselves on Nigerians. If APC is good enough, there's no need silencing their opposition, it's Nigerians that will show the way out for any political party that is not of interest of them!

Why all these oppression? Are they afraid of 2019? or what?
Have they forgotten that even with aggressive attack from the opposition, they can still win massively IF they do what Nigerians want!

I'm sure he must have requested for the police permit, but will be denied simply because he's from the opposition party!

A learned person like him can't organize a peaceful protest without requesting for police permit only to be denied and later arrested for proceeding with the protest without the police permit!

Police permit or clearance is not required for a peaceful protest in Nigeria. He was probably arrested for a different reason so, let's just wait for details as the news unfolds. It will be very unfortunate if he was arrested just for mobilising for a peaceful protest.
