Please I want to know something. A friend of my just received about 10 pieces of 2v 1000AH battery from China. We have been wondering if they can be connected to convert to 12v.

Yes, of course, if you connect six in series you get a 12v 1000ah battery bank. The big questions are : What happens to the remaining four pieces and will your 12v inverter system be able to charge the battery bank .

Thanks for reply I really appreciate. We talked about including 50ah battery charger to the previous 30ah. One question please, will the battery last for a long time (e.g if 200ah last for 5 hours. Will the 1000ah last more than that?)

The question of how long a battery will last depends on some many variables and its difficult to answer but of course all things been equal it should last for a long time.

What are your short comings?
Who else has observe the battery voltage when the ups/inverter goes off?

Under idle conditions it's best to maintain a 50% DOD so you can have like 4+ years from your battery,
